Ok, im sorry if this is up already but i havent seen anything that answers my questions yet.
A friend of mine has been hosting a local MC server for all of us, usually about 4-6 people on at a time, and hes been able to handle it fine up until the 1.8 pre-release. After it came out only a few of us are able to connect without any trouble, however most of us get on and instantly fall to the void and sit there for a good 3 mins or so while we wait for a 10x10 area to render and after that point it takes a while for any more blocks to show up. At the same time the people who are on without any lag get immense surge of rubberbanding and boomeranging.
I have tried connecting to the server when I have nothing else connected to the internet (Disabled Steam, Skype, Hamachi which is not used for our connection to him, its used for other games, friend opened his ports on his router) and got no improvement on my connection.
Does anyone have any clue as to why this is happening or any solutions that could be done to fix this?
Nvm, server host somehow managed to fix the server by just using a new world
