ive notice recently that endermen drop ender pearls. sounds cool right? yet they have no use. its just like slimes untill 1.7, rare and useless. i hope ender pearls have a good use in the official 1.8 release. or else i wont even bother with them. (note ive still not found a slime on my own map)
Well, this is what happens when games are still in beta. Things get added bit by bit, until they're eventually complete.
I'd personally rather have things useless for a while until Mojang can think up a great way to use them (Sticky pistons, for example), rather than having them implemented right away, but not as well. It's called beta for a reason; Mojang can take their time and not feel obligated to have a perfect game with every update, but rather take their time and make things work better than we expect.
I disagree with the OP entirely. This is not how they want Endermen to be, they aren't finished yet.
