Some dead trees, murky water, leeches (would be good), zombies are more common (just zombies)(a new type of zombie could be ok "bogger", a bog zombie that doesn't burn under sunlight, but stays away from fire(just to not make them overpowered)), there could be a new block "bog", on the barges farming would be faster espescially mushrooms (due to decomposing matters)...
Given the prevalance of water in swamps, undead will probably stick around a lot more just by virtue of being in water.
i like except you have to think about it, what if a water way intersects into the swamp? green water will jsut randomly cut through blue water and fog would just stop at the edges of the biome. i like the idea but it wuld just seem to hard
I'm pretty sure that Notch can make a gradual transition. Have you ever noticed how the different colors of grass just blend into each other? Look at this Wiki page and go down until you see the blue gradient and read the caption. It hasn't been implemented yet but it can and probably will be. Greenish water can be added into the gradient if need be.
