its just a rename and the adding of all the new adventure based updates. you can still play minecraft as you normaly would. just with alot of new things added.
Learn to read before you post a stupid thread about survival mode is being replaced, becuase it won't be!!! There will be 2 different game modes when you create a new world, so this is fully up to your choice...
And yes, this is adventure update, NOT adventure mode...

Adventure mode IS Survival mode, just with new and cool things in the mix. You don't need to think that there isn't going to be the good ol' Survival mode you loved. It's still here with a new name and more things to explore.
