I think its either the new useless item (Now that slimeballs have a use),
Or a fertilizer like bonemeal. Only problem I see with the fertilizer theory is:
Meat does NOT fertilize plants, it attracts animals. So maby a monster attractant would be kinda interesting.
Uh... Why would anyone have the fertilizer idea unless it's applicable IRL?
Many cultures use rotting meat to help their crops grow.
The pilgrims used fish to grow their corn.
Well if this new info on the blue spiders poison is correct, eating rotten meat might make you vomit, which you can assume means your hunger meter will be depleted.
I was honestly hoping it would give you some sort of effect, like you eat it and while under its effects you cannot heal but in return regular mobs (zombie, skeleton, Creeper, spider) wont respond to you unless attacked, however after the effect wears off you'll vomit, leaving you hungry with your health depleting. You could then use it for making a mad dash back home at night, or to quickly light up a cave without risk of mob attack.
I don't know what it's for, but it tastes like butterscotch. Trust me.
OT: I haven't seen this suggested yet, but if the blue spider has a new drop or one of the existing mobs gets a new one, perhaps we could craft some sort of summoning device?
Like a single *insert really rare item here* surrounded by four zombie flesh (one in each corner) and four blue spider drops (Poison sac or whatever) would make a summoning device to call forth Cthulhu or another similar gargantuan abomination, awoken from an ancient slumber by your heretical necromancy.
Just don't do it before I climb back under the bedrock...

I've got a creeper and I'm not afraid to explode it!
I think it fills our hunger bar but hurts us by 2 or 3 hearts
but i also think you can use it as bait for monsters, and give it to NPCs to turn them into a zombie Wouldn't that be AWESOME?

That's just nasty.

You can eat it, but when you eat it, you lose 1 1/2 hearts, BUT you also go a little faster for 30 sec.
Who agrees? :laugh.gif:
Lady Gaga much?
According to the wiki "Upcomming features", rotten flesh will cause vomiting which will reduce your hunger bar rapidly.

Chickens. You know, the mob that makes sense where you get it from.
Hooray! Zombie armies! Now we can take over the world
