Please, be sure to experiment with the NPCs. Test the limits of their AI, if you can trade with them, or if they can build. Try to find the "Smithy" that Jeb mentioned, if you have time.
Another thing you might want to test out, is moss stone. Please, try and see if moss has different properties now, it may spread. Or harvest some of the stone bricks from a stronghold, test their properties.
If you're ever in combat, please try blocking attacks or charging your bow, and look out for critical hits. :smile.gif:
PAX is coming up, and Mojang is going to be previewing 1.8 there, then using the feedback they get to fix it before they release it.
I am one of the lucky few (12 total) who got picked to volunteer at their booth at PAX. Specifically, I will be there ALL of Saturday helping out. This means I will get a lot of exposure to 1.8. As a service to the community, I will be gathering as much info as I can, and writing up a preview-review on my blog that I created just for this.
If you have questions you need answered (not by Notch, not gonna bother him all day) post them here or on the blog post (preferably there, easier for me to manage) and I will try and get as much info as I can.
I want specific questions, not just "Tell us all the new crafting recipes." More along the lines of "What do Endermen drop when you kill them?"
If you are gonna be there, come stop by and say hi!
Edit: I'll also be live tweeting pics (and streaming videos) of the booth, the people, and 1.8 (and the rest of PAX as well) you can follow me on Twitter if you care @Protato_
Edit: The current list is on the blog. Too many input sources to keep it updated here as well.
Awesome! Good for you. Hope you get picked
I'd personally use Tumblr though. More social and you'll probably get many more followers :tongue.gif:
how will mobs react to NPC villagers (especially creepers)?
It will be strange to be in a village and have zombies/skeletons/creepers attacking you and totally ignoring villagers. But it would also seem that villages would quickly be destroyed/depopulated if they are constantly under attack. I'm curious to learn how that will be balanced out.
4 things:
1.Endermen. All about them.
2.More details on NPC villages and dungeons/enemy bases.
3.Some info on biome changes+mushroom biomes.
4.Any new items, ores, etc.

And Thanks a bunch :biggrin.gif:
EDIT: I will be adding some stuff to the wiki based off of what you say, so please tell us the official names of each item you find!
How much hearts damage does endermen do?
Is the hunger and EXP bars optional/toggleable?
