One thing I don't like, is how ALL of the villagers will pack themselves into the SAME house. In my most recent village, every night, without fail... They would all cram themselves into a single building, or a single group of buildings, completely ignoring the rest of the village. I would break the doors, but they would just move on to the NEXT house, and pack themselves into THAT one. Not even breaking ALL of the doors helped. I eventually had to blow up my villagers with TNT.

HAD to. XD
Just look at it this way, it takes less golems to defend a congregation then a bunch of hermits.
Even if it does get realeased tomorrow, they're constantly fixing bugs.
So whatever bugs you have encountered in the recent snapshot, might be fixed in the full release.
You technically can't say they don't fix bugs.
Games, any game, all of them, have some type of bug and glitch. They're completely impossible to not get.
Whether what stage we're in, all depends on Mojang. They're the developers, we're the players.
While our thoughts and feedback are important to them, or at least should be.
We do not make the game and we don't have any control over when they update, how they update or anything of the sort.
Be thankful they're dedicated to releasing new content and giving players occasionally what they requested.
I'm very much hoping that they will fix the tree generation bug that currently plagues worlds in snapshot 4 or onwards. That is a massive bug. While some people can ignore it I seriously can't, it was actually the first thing I noticed about temperate forests. Right away I knew something was wrong with them just from a glance, all these 2 and 3 block high trees and absolutely no taller trees nor any variation.
What's sad is that, these snapshots are so that the devs can receive feedback from the community, but there are some issues like this that they simply ignore. It's only when the patch gets released tomorrow and there is public outcry, that it will get fixed, and it shouldn't get to that stage. I'm glad they looked into most of the other bugs, though. It's just this one and the snow golem one that seem to be overlooked.
Everyone who says monthly updates are good, infact they are hell broken loose when trying to host a 24/7 server, we have to wait 1/2 weeks for Bukkit to update once Mojang have released an update, and ontop of that.... MAP CORRUPTION, MAP CHUNK ERRORS = RESETS...

Don't. Upgrade.
So many complaints would be avoided if people could simply realize that no one is forcing them to do anything. "Oh but our players blah blah." well they can't wait too.

Tough love is often the best route. Bring back Tegan and Sara. Now.
What is wrong with monthly official updates? To me that is a good thing.....
A better frequency for updates is once every 3-6 months.
Why? Because *monthly* official updates are only a good thing for players that only play single player and with no mods - a minority.
The vast majority of players either play on servers or use at least a few mods. Both server plugins and mods take time to catch up to releases... and everything stays broken until they do.
Ooops! Yeah absolutely don't know how I forgot those!
