Seriously, as a fan of the roguelike genre, I absolutely LOVE hardcore mode. I've been using it all the time, and it adds a lot to the excitement, knowing it could all be over at any moment if you make the wrong move.
I find hardcore pointless. I am good at getting everything I need in no time flat but starting over when I'm not planning to is irritating. I remember one time in a ravine I was on top of a block with water flowing toward lava (not into but next to) and I thought that if I jump across the water would help propel me, but I didn't jump very far and drowned in lava.
We need to make hard mode more difficult, we don't need a 1 life mode. Hardcore would be more for competitions than anything.
Oh dear, I guess you're just too good at the game. Wonder why you don't play hardcore then, mm?
In the event that I fall too far or die in lava it would be annoying to start over. I like challenge in a game but when I play hardcore I worry more about staying alive then taking chances and overcoming or trying new things. I just simply don't find it fun.
Its ok. I haven't died from playing it and doesn't really add any challenge to it. Almost ready for the dragon but need a few more eyes. Bragging rights I guess.
Who else loves it?

Is this a mod you speak of? If so, link please?
