For those of you who don't know what it is, I shall describe it to the best of my memory/knowledge.
Spleef was played as either a free for all, or team based game, on a 1 block thick floor with a long drop, or lava below.
Back in classic, each block was destroyable by 1 click. Much like creative mode nowadays, but you couldn't fly like you can now.
The aim of the game was to destroy blocks under players to make them fall out of the arena, last player/team standing won. some servers had points so if you won you got points you could put towards stuff like extra lives, place blocks, stuff like that.
Does anyone know how easy it would be to make a spleef mod for creative servers?
Ahhhh I remember my creative experience.
Built giant underground bases spanning half a map, underground beachside hotels with simulated skies, giant replicated versions of supcom units, a anti griefer house made of 6 layers of sponge, an underground sponge house and a huge us navy battle fleet with all guns and detailed insides.
Use TNT. It is destroyed in one hit, like Creative blocks, and if you don't give any of the players redstone or flint and steel, they can't set it off.

EDIT: derp, forgot half the info.

Spleef is a bit different in survival mode because your reach isn't as far. I prefer spleef in classic to be honest. but I am a beta player, and I can still play spleef on classic, I did a month ago, so I don't think it has any "remember when" value for me.
How many people played/still play spleef?

I would actually be surprised if there wasn't a plugin for Bukkit already and it shouldn't be too hard to do in vanilla, honestly.
"sometimes, wizards are so awesome, it hurts"
Now that I think about it, you are likely right about Bukkit having a plugin, or one being in the works, I wouldn't be surprised about that either.

Don't Panic.
