I had to roll back my client to 1.8 because of the crippling lag in 1.9_PR1, but with PR2, it's gone, and even runs BETTER on my laptop than before.
plus in my 1.9PR2 world, I spawned next to a swamp, ravine, above-ground lava pool, and about 10 sheep.

main problem now will be finding snow to make snow golems. then it will be like chickens were pre-breeding--make one and eventually you'll be able to make an army to kill a certain little chicken-punter that wears green.........
or, you know, get snowballs, eggs, and meat.

i had lag in the 1st pre release and i still have it in the second one
and notch doesnt choose where you spawn thats just random luck, plus theres not much special about sheep.
I have had a long uphill struggle with lag in Minecraft since Alpha, I discovered optifine just as 1.7.3 was going out, and now I can't force myself to play without it :\, as such I couldn't bring myself to play any of the pre-releases. though from the videos I have watched lag does seem to be decreased from pre1 to pre2.

Yeah, I know it's just my computer. But 1.9 PR2 is WAAAAAY better for me than 1.9 PR1. I need a new computer, but I can't afford it. but ah well. I've got Minecraft....:biggrin.gif:
1.8 and before I could pretty much only play Short (Fast, everything off) without lag, 1.9 PR1 even on Tiny I had crippling lag (optimized as much as I could--rolled back to 1.8 before Optifine came out for 1.9 PR1). 1.9 PR2 I can play on Normal (still Fast, everything off) with almost no hiccups.
