Unless they find a way were you cant just tab over and backup your folder every so often then I wont trust any scores I see posted, It's mainly going to have to be local thing were I try and beat my own score I guess.
With passive mobs being easy XP/score farms as well as worlds being backed up easily this is kind of pointless.

It was a VERY ocean heavy world, so i spend at least like 25% of the time sailing. Found about 5 different villages and 3 abandoned mines. Lots of creepers, skellies and zombies, but didn't see a single enderman. Found a few of those new mushroom bioms, but haven't found a snow biom.
Was real fun, and I think I'll start another one soon.
Small island, no trees. I had to punch down till I happened across an abandoned mineshaft. That was pure luck and took forever XD
Harvested wood from the shaft, made tools and started exploring. Had a couple close calls, but I'm still trucking. I have no idea what my score will be, but counting the number of cave spiders I've massacred it should be pretty high.

Faith? I ended up making a hide hole in a tree, fell down, and a Skeleton got me along with fall damage. My next attempt shall be serious x3

Perhaps. But as a gentleman's game, it's still a good thrill.
My current personal best is 146 - with only a handful of animal kills.

I was in an abandoned mineshaft trying to hide and recover from a poison spider bite when it turned out there was a second spawner right behind me.
