I have a huge map that has been worked on since 1.4. The only snow biome that I ever had was north of my spawn point about 2 miles. Now everything but north has turned to cold. Is there any way to use some sort of outside editor to change the biomes back to what they used to be? Only thing that bugs me is I don't want to see a huge ocean covered in ice.

Expect changes when updating, you should have made a backup of your map before running it in the new version.

OP, check the "Minecraft Tools" section of the forums. They may not be updated yet; actually, almost certainly not, but I'm pretty sure you can find something akin to what you need there. There are a plethora of world editors done and in development.
