i really am starting to like the scary mysteries in minecraft and i hope there will be a story to follow if you want, or ignore it if you dont. i really hope that this disc 11 turns into much more then notch trolling minecrafters for shits and giggles
Quite simply, its a guy in the Nether, running from a ghast. He lights a fire on Netherrack, and open up his journal. The ghast follows after him, and he takes off sprinting over a gravel patch, and fires at him, ending the track. That's all it is, nothing more.
I've done plenty of searching, and I talked to an anonymous source I call "What-I-Think-Guy". He, after listening to it for plenty of hours, said:
"I think this is a hint. A hint, to what is to come in the future of minecraft. If you listen to the record for awhile, you get the sence of fear as you dig anywhere. Herobrine was the first thing that came to my mind, either how he became, or that he was chasing someone. But, after listening to the record, he was past on. I have felt Herobrine would be an obvious record tape, but the question I asked myself had to be 'Why is there only 1 of these messages?" So, with my conclusion, I have decided that this record is of a man, a Steve if you may, finding a mob no body had seen. I appropriatly named this unseen mob as 'The Corian', because of the sound of Steves breathing, as if he is coming from his 'core'. Nothing excites me more than thinking that a mob could cause such pantic."
I have faith in the What-I-Think-Guy, mostly because he has been right on most accounts of things I've seen.

That Plus button means nothing to me. Give me some internets, cause I'm cool.
Here is something that may help with additional info, as well as some facts
Now this might not seem like anything, but i suggest watching this video on youtube, because the important part is mainly the date
the date on the video is January 29 of this year, and you can see on the video that this is during minecraft beta 1.2, long before any of these disks came out
as he digs he finds his way into the stronghold library
looking over books as he hears a sound of chains cracking, and bones coming closer
he places a torch and smoke evaporates into the air and begins to cough
and hears the sound coming closer and closer he begins to run digging away scurrying
to find a way out till he digs through dirt staring into a cloud of darkness...
endermen...
that bops him on the head with a dirt block
bop bop bop :biggrin.gif:
We have a winnar!

It's hard waiting around for something that you know might never happen; but it's even harder to give up when you know it's everything you ever wanted.
Frankly, it just sounds like something is chasing him and eventually catches him. Maybe just a joke, maybe something we could eventually see ('cause it doesn't really sounds like anything we know so far). Not a big deal xD
might be part of a ''Disc diary''
In 11 Steve escapes from a Mob (probably a creeper or something unknown)
in 12 (not added YET?) Steve fights it and loses
In 13 Steve wakes up in a dungeon/cavern and goes back to his house, and hears some ambient sounds and stuff in the way.
Naaa
13 may be he funeral. With all the creepy music and stuff.
I dont think its an enderman. i think its a sole miner who ran out of torches and begins to fiddle with a flint and steel
(hence the clicking) but fails and fills the room with smoke (hence the coughing) and trys to simply run out of the cave.
he realises he may have possibly summond somthing. (light obsidian) and built a portal to the nether on accident. this summons herobrine who chases him outside. this may explain why almost every update since 1.4 has said "removed herobrine"
but notches efforts to contain him have failed and he has been freed from the nether. this audio file has also been in the minecraft folder for a while since 1.2 (plz correct me if wrong).
if you dont like reading, Notch HintHint at new mob herobrine

They explained that Notch played a prank and put removed Herobrine on purpose. He removed some of the code for human mobs, which were known as 'monsters'.

The laws of magic are absolute. The laws of physics are optional.
It seems to be a recording of someone being chased by a mob, but I think it has something to do with something else. Notice how he person starts digging and mining slowly and speeds up almost like time is passing. To the point, I think he's going insane.
This is an interesting conclusion. I've always wondered why my character never went mad, even with my nigh-constant trips to the Nether at one point for ghast fighting. Dropping in and out of hell has to take its toll on someone eventually, and being stuck in caves with monsters left and right must be painful.
Maybe its building on the idea that, we weren't the first to explore Minecraftia. That someone else besides Steve is here. ( besides the squidwards )
And something got him.
Probably not Herobrine. Sounds too wolf-y at the end.
Analysis: Our friend here us not having the best time in his subterranean exploration judging from his heavy breathing and jumpiness. He seems to have either found a library or is consulting some book, judging from the sound of pages turning. He hears a footstep and other strange noises. Lights a torch. Coughing from the smoke, Recording cuts briefly. Returns to him sprinting, from a cave and onto dirt at an increasing speed. Unexplained humming noise, like some sort of engine ( could just be an ambient noise ) a howl and silence. Returns to beginning.
Steve went into a dark cave after running away from something.
Ambience started playing.
He took out his lighter trying to get some light, but it wasn't working.
He then opened a book wanting to know what was chasing him.
He then noticed something...
He raised his lighter toward a direction in the dark, and attempts to turn it on 1 more time...
The lighter works, and in the light he finds himself staring into the eyes of... SOMETHING.
Steve starts running out of the cave, running for his life, running faster as SOMETHING was catching up.
Running across dirt blocks, he runs as quickly as he can, but he doesn't make it!
SOMETHING IS HAPPENING...
And it all stops there...
That's my prediction of what was happening in record 11.

Notch will add him eventually, the Herobrine phenomenon is too big for Notch to pass on it.

Hmm, getting ideas for FM now...
"sometimes, wizards are so awesome, it hurts"
nobody has said that he does exist. but we are saying as far as a story goes he's most likely being chased by herobrine.

Herobrine? If he's a wolf.
Endermen? Unlikely.
