Hardcore mode is not supposed to be easy. And it's not insane either. It's just hard. You can choose to play that way, if you can't handle it then you need more practice. If you die because you weren't paying attention, you did something rushed or you forgot to close a door, then you're simply not good enough for hardcore mode. It is some kind of "experienced-player mode". You are supposed to avoid committing mistakes.
Listen, the point is--it is difficult. Outrageously difficult. BUT..that is not a bad thing. It does not make it TOO difficult. It might make it too difficult for some, but that's why we have other options of easy/hard gameplay.
You don't like hardcore mode, that's okay. I don't want to play it either(except for maybe a few challenges for fun) as my favorite is survival--where if I die I can get my stuff back.
But I know how fun a good challenge is. Realizing you've survived long enough to get diamond tools and have truly succeeded at thriving in such a challenging environment--that is what hardcore mode is for. People can show each other what they were able to do without dying!
You never have to play hardcore mode. :smile.gif: And that's okay. I never play on hard difficulty anyway. Some people never play on easy, or never play on peaceful. Minecraft is full of options for everyone--the builders, the adventurers, explorers, miners, risk takers, city makers, etc. And there are ways for each of us to play the way we want. A builder might go on peaceful at night 'occasionally' so they can finish the huge project they are working on stress free! While an explorer travels the world, seeing what the world generator has to offer. The risk taking adventurer..will play hardcore mode. :smile.gif:
When we say 'it's not too hard', that doesn't mean we think it's easy. We mean we want it as difficult as possible, because like in the name--it's 'hard'core mode!
On the forums I found like 20 posts on Hardcore mode, then it was on the front page, so I decided to check it out. In case you didn't know, hardcore mode is where you play until you die and when you die, your forced to delete your world. I also think your required to play on Easy, Normal or Hard. So what do you guys think?
Why would you be against having an option to have an extra challenge if it doesn't stop you from playing a regular game?
I'm not against it it's just I think you shouldn't have to delete your world when you die
That makes you against it. Hardcore mode=delete world upon death. That's really the only difference. You just don't want to play it, that's okay. You can play on easy, normal, or hard, or even peaceful, and not have to delete your world. Just play survival instead. :smile.gif:
Hard difficulty on survival mode=hardcore without having to delete your world upon death
Switching on Hardcore mode doesn't actually make the gameplay harder, it just makes the consequence for death worse. The monsters aren't stronger, the blocks take just as long to mine, and ores are just as rare (or common) as they always were.
(drumroll please):
If you don't want to be permadead when you die, don't play hardcore mode. Also I'm glad you made the poll; the results are conclusive.
Listen, you don't want to have to delete your world when you die. That's fine, deleting the world isn't mandatory as long as you don't play Hardcore. But removing that aspect of the mode is entirely negates the point of having said mode to begin with, especially when you're never forced to play that mode.
I'm not against it it's just I think you shouldn't have to delete your world when you die
If you don't want to delete your world when you die. Play on HARD. Its as easy as that! Hard mode is the same as hardcore but without deleting the world! :tongue.gif:

ITS NOT SUPPOSED TO BE EASY!!!
How many effing-ing times do trolls like you need this to be yelled at them!!!

That's just weird.

Then play it on Hard in regular mode. What's the problem?
According to your own poll you are the only person who thinks Hardcore Mode should be changed.

The point of Hardcore is the world deletes

Hardcore mode is exactly the same as normal mode except in one way: The only difference is that it deletes your world when you die. Thassit.

And you! Learn what the slang "troll" actually means, then you can reflect on that statement and realise how stupid it was.
