I like them in their current incarnation. Less of the annoying block moving, but not completely gone, but significantly more powerful. I look forward to facing one on the battlefield. Maybe today is a good day to die. :laugh.gif:

Maybe just maybe we can reach a compromisation and we can find a middle values that make him fun but also fair to fight. Its not fair right now on hardcore one mistake and you're whole world is ruined.

Well, it is kind of silly that "permadeath" only exists in a hard difficulty mode. A person could want "permadeath" but easy/normal-levels of difficulty.
I find it funny and refreshing that a thread made to ***** about something is completely filled with "quit bitching" comments. Usually the whiner threads are filled with lots of likeminded whiners. Even though we've kinda trolled her thread. The people who have posted tips on how to beat Endermen have been very helpful though, thanks. Hopefully the thread starter is using them and learning to enjoy the challenge, I know I am.

I see your point. But if you want to play "hardcore" on a different difficulty level, then just play survival and pick your difficulty. When you die, delete the world. Enderman is too hard notch now, so like omg it can take 4 hits of diamond and what I hate is they don't go away. And its hard not to look at them... think about it notch it is not fair if your playing hardcore and an anderman is blocking your way.

Started a new game and beat down an Enderman with a Stone Sword without taking damage on the first night. Perhaps you should adjust your strategy.

HTF is it hard not to look at them, just look around them, they have glowing eyes and portal sprites, it's not like it's hard to see them, it's like missing a nuke. Times I have accidentally looked at a endermen, 1/200 and that's cause my cat blocked the screen.

I am one of the people that found the Enderman too easy and annoying, and asked for their block carrying ability removed.
They are prefect now. I actually have a reason to fear them now instead of seeing them as pests.

I was also one of the many that complained about their "pest" block-taking abilities, flying trees, world degradation, all that jazz, but I wanted them to be much harder than they were. I got both my wishes granted, I for one am fairly satisfied. And enderpearls are so nice, so even more satisfaction. Now I hope the new sounds match the new awesomeness (highly probable).
Anyway, hardcore is supposed to be roguelike-ish, so expect to die a lot. I love it personally. And don't savescum, kids!
*Savescumming: A popular form of "hax" in roguelikes, backing up the save before it is deleted after death. Tedious IMO.
I personally liked them when they picked up blocks and weren't as hard to kill. Was more challenging to fix the holes I would get in my house while creeper and skeletor would be lurking outside.
