The game hasn't been "Serious" from the start. Why do you think so many people think the game is **** when you show it to them? Then they usually play it and are like "OMG THIS IS AWESOME". Live. Laugh a little.
Since one of the mods seems to be going on a rampage, I'm curious as to whether or not this will stay open...
There are a lot of changes to the tenor of the game recently and upcoming, the level of humor in the design of the game is a pertinent question, and applicable to this forum.

Snow Golems----I agree, they shouldn't be quite like they are, they should at least need a jack-o-lantern instead of a pumpkin. But seeing as they don't even harm mobs, just don't make one, and they won't bug you.
Breeding----Who doesn't want to see a cow pop out of an egg??? :tongue.gif:
Testificates----DON'T BE RACIST!!! :tongue.gif:
And doesn't fit the "realistic" theme of minecraft? When was the last time YOU saw a creeper IRL? Or a zombie? Or a skeleton, or giant spider, or ghast, or zombie pigman? I MEAN REALLY. WHAT ARE YOU, THE LEADER OF THE ANTI-HUMOR CLUB? OR WAS IT THE ANTI-NOTCH CLUB?
YOU, GOOD SIR, NEED TO STOP PLAYING SILLY GAMES AS A SERIOUS PERSON. GET A SENSE OF HUMOR, AND STOP TROLLING THE FORUMS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Kickstarter for what could be the game I'm looking forwards to more than any other:
Way too many "whiners" Complaining about the game :sleep.gif:
If you dont like it... THEN DONT ****ING PLAY IT
Its that easy...
I would post a thread about it ethier...
Well, they have reason to complain. Some people are forming constructive critiques that do warrant attention. The point of a pre-release, aside from bug testing, is to see what players do and don't like in the game. If enough noise is made, Notch may address it.
Videogames should be about the players. And if players don't make their voices heard, how can that become a reality?
You have a point but it bothers me when you call notch "lazy". For the past 2 years, he has been figuring out the math of the game, writing code, and coming up with new ideas. He is not lazy. His job is not easy. You guys don't make it any easier when you complain about what he creates and tell him his material is a "joke".

It is about the players totally agree, but here's what I didn't add...
Whiners - The guys who complain 24/7 and keep complaining until they get what they want...
People who give their opinions - Guys who will play the game and give their opinion, but not whine about it :biggrin.gif:

It might, if he meant it to be funny. I'm pretty sure a lot of what we've seen/heard for 1.9 is supposed to be funny. Snowmen that hurl snowballs at mobs that will destroy them? Mushroom biomes that have mind controlled cows called "mooshrooms." Bald NPC monks with big noses. Having cows etc breed by popping out of eggs. That all seems pretty funny to me.

Truthfully the only thing that bothers me a little is that they all come from a egg. But thats so minor, Im sure Notch will update it and who knows maybe he was joking... If not there will probably be a mod for it anyways.

Well he did say there are no baby animals 'yet' in a recent tweet. So I suspect the egg thing is just a temporary placeholder.
The purpose of this letter is to outline a plan to solve the problems of egotism, nepotism, economic inequality, and lack of equal opportunity. Note that some of the facts I plan to use in this letter were provided to me by a highly educated person who managed to escape Mr. Trenix's mutinous, crass indoctrination and is consequently believable. Being the analytical sort that I am, I would have to say that if Trenix doesn't realize that it's generally considered bad style to misdirect our efforts into fighting each other rather than into understanding the nature and endurance of putrid officialism, then he should read one of the many self-help books on the subject. I recommend he buy one with big print and lots of pictures. Maybe then Trenix will grasp the concept that he likes putting the gods of heaven into the corner as obsolete and outmoded and, in their stead, burning incense to the idol Mammon, which puts him somewhere between a testy manipulator of the public mind and an imperious foppotee on the immoralism org chart. There's something fishy about his writings. I think Trenix is up to something, something annoying and perhaps even witless.
If Trenix thinks his ramblings represent progress, he should rethink his definition of progress. In its annual report on larcenous incidents, the government concluded that there's no shortage of sin in the world today. It's been around since the Garden of Eden and will honestly persist as long as Trenix continues to use every conceivable form of diplomacy, deception, pressure, coercion, bribery, treason, and terror to promote promiscuity and obscene language.
Let me clue you in on a little something: A central point of Trenix's belief systems is the notion that the Queen of England heads up the international drug cartel. Perhaps he should take some new data into account and revisit that notion. I think he'd find that if he could have one wish, he'd wish for the ability to sentence more and more people to poverty, prison, and early death. Then, people the world over would be too terrified to acknowledge that Trenix has produced a large number of corrupt pronouncements. I'm sorry that I can't give each of these the angry retort that it deserves, but I can say that if Fate desired that Trenix make a correct application of what he had read about corporatism it would have to indicate title and page number since the counterproductive sad sack would otherwise never in all his life find the correct place. But since Fate does not do this, in asserting that he has the trappings of deity, Trenix demonstrates an astounding narrowness of vision. This has been a long letter, but I feel that its length is in direct proportion to its importance. Why? Because Mr. Trenix's idea of a good time is to bring about a wonderland of irreligionism.

The time this troll took to insult me. Trying to sound so logical but flawed and invalid with so many points. I don't even wanna begin, but I honestly would if I really wanted to derailed my topic. And that goes back to the simple point that I wanted to make, stay on topic and keep your history assignment out of my thread.
I agree. You all can go yourselves. There, did that push you over the fence?
