Also if you want to have a serious discussion about the game, and put your idea's for how the game should be improved out there you don't start by making the title of your forum post "IS MINECRAFT BECOMING A JOKE?" because firstly it is a childish attempt at attention and secondly your going to be flamed by everyone who thinks the updates are just fine, like myself.
In the future should you want to be serious and offer up some proper speculation, your subject line should read "Thing's I like and don't like about the update" etc... etc.... that subject line is much more appealing, and will give people a better perspective of you, when clicking on your thread to read and post their view points.

I do agree with him in some parts. Yes who cares if the villagers look like crap, I'm still going to update. But I do agree that the villagers should look like normal humans. Yes I know you can remove the nose via texture, but you can't change model forms without recoding the scripts though modding (I should know because I mod). Snow Golems, I really don't care about them. Like endermen it's what Minecraft is about. I'm a dude who wants a chair block or a table block but still, we must agree that Sometimes notch will add things that can get a bit strange at times. Just give Trenix a break. He's just supporting his opinion and doesn't want haters and trollers saying : I R TINKIN DAT U AL WRONG! I M RITE U NOOB! I have this theory.
See notch is a stickler for creativity, independent learning, and programming.
So here's my theory:
Notch has an ulterior motive. He tries to make Minecraft good enough to addict people and make them love the game.
Then he does something wrong or implement something in a way that agitates people, especially ones who expect more logic.
By doing this he hopes to inspire and drive people with programming experience to make games of their own, employing those very ideas that they wanted in minecraft in the first place.
Yeah, that seems how Terraria came about but it didn't really get my attention. I don't believe this motive, because it's bad for business. You're trying to say that he's begging someone to take his job basically.
