You're right on all counts. I do too love this game, and think Notch is quite creative. I do wish the actual haters would please come back with an intellectual viewpoint and elucidation to match. But you're confusing anyone who disagrees with you as a hater, and by posting this extreme nonsense, you're not making anything better.
You're making it worse.
*edit* And apparently the mods agree because they made you change your topic title and most of your op.
wrong. i changed my subtitle because "**** all you whiny haters" was a little harsh and i could see how that was not the best thing to get my point across.
The entire point of my thread, is so that if by chance notch happens to check these forums he will see that some of us actually LOVE what he is doing with the game and not just see a whole bunch of threads about people whining about the endermen, hunger, and all the other GREAT MAGNIFICENT WONDERFUL additions that have come to the game in the past few weeks.

I'm glad to know that you changed your mind. But please, let this thread die. It doesn't quite get across what you're trying to say, especially after the predictable flamewars vomited all over it's surface.

key words there: "some of us", the majority however differs in your opinion.
I like this topic. It's a breath of fresh air to know at least someone enjoys the updates as much as me. I don't know if Mojang even checks the forums but I hope they can see a gem like this with fans that love the game they made.
It might not be helpful criticism but instead discusses how they're satisfied and pleased with the aspects of minecraft. The loud minority tend to be complaining and it gets depressing.

Just because I dont like the patch doesnt mean i dont love the game :smile.gif: I still really enjoy and love playing the game, I'm just trying to get them to be aware of how they can improve. No matter how negative a paying customer sounds, they always have a valid view, so they must take in all views. No matter how douchey we sound, it will still only improve the game!

Many have valid views and constructive suggestions/criticism. All negative views are definitely not valid, there is lots of immaturity and self entitlement. There is also the obvious resistance to change crowd.

I don't think the majority do, look at any polls put up regarding content, you'll get more individual positive responses than any threads negative ones. You see people post more than once and you somehow think they count again, they don't, the -majority- of people are quite happy. The minority that aren't just happen to have a lot more to say on the topic, some of them I'm sure just think about it more and realize something that could be better, but most of them have very little to offer when the majority is still happy.
regarding the op, I think if you're saying that everything mojang does is perfect you do need to assess things a little more critically, we've got spawn points in oceans, animals that don't despawn or respawn(easily), endermen receiving an unnecessary nerf subtracting from gameplay added in this update, swamps aren't blending well, neither are mushroom biomes. there are still issues, and we've got less than 60 days till minecon, which I believe was supposed to be release.
I'd like Notch/Jens to start taking some weekends to really get these kind of things hammered out.

But even they should be listened to. Change is only good is it makes things better, and they think it does not. It's valid. Everyone's opinion is "valid", if a dev cares.

Sure they can be considered but they tend to be the loud minority. I might seem to be targetting a specific user but do you really think Notch should take a complaint about pig spouts seriously?
Edit: I reconsidered and guess all complaints can be valid but I was mostly talking about immature people complaining they don't like something.. just because they don't like it(since it's different).

If you don't like something, you don't like something. You really don't have to have a reason so long as it's legitimately changing your experience with the game. But as far as immaturity, yeah, people should take a step back and think about things before they go off to rage about it. Maybe they'd realize it wasn't actually that bad. Maybe they could come up with a good reason that it was bad. Have a civil debate about it, god forbid.

see, thats the thing tho. We're not complaining because it's different, we're complaining because after almost a year, there has only been 1 or 2 useful updates in beta. It's less about diversity, and more about work pace and the lack of work to show for it.
WRONG: any source of "hate" coming from your paying customers has to be taken as constructive, no matter how negative it might be. Otherwise it is entirely possible to sue Mojang with a class-action lawsuit against false claims. Although that route is way off the scale of extremity, it is still valid. Notch has to just sit there and take it if he wants us to stop "hating".
You have to assume as the developer that "I hate the hunger bar" means "I suggest you alter the hunger bar", otherwise you will get nowhere in this business.
Do you proof read your post? Apparently not.
If you read the EUA or EULA then you will see that notch specifically states that he does not have to provide a finished game. You can not sue him because of... actually why? What false claims? Can you provide some evidence for your thoughts? Didn't think so.
As a developer, "I hate the hunger bar" only shows me that the person has a strong dislike towards the hunger bar, but saying 'i suggest you alter the hunger bar... BY <insert option here>' is a huge improvement.
I am sorry, but don't start arguments you cant win :biggrin.gif:
Did you know that mojang sold 3.5million copies? I am sure they did not do this by changing the type of block type the fence is or the stairs are. They did not sell 1000 copies by changing the endermen, or creating the nether.
i.e., your argument should be proof read and validated because what you just wrote is invalid. Sorry to break it to you. :C

I have argued for that side about the actual work pace. I was also given some mature arguments that showed a bigger team doesn't necessarily mean a quicker pace of work(although not entirely convinced). They said that each programmer can implement changes that cause bugs in other aspects and if they all combine there work then the majority of the time after would be difficult bug fixing..
I am not experienced with programming so I don't know how much of that is true(it was also worded way better). I always said that I don't care if Notch goes on vacation, enjoys his newly wed wife, takes time to get some creative ideas; I do care that he has 1 man working on minecraft when it has generated all his income(lets say 90%+).. and he won't hire more to help out. I also would say that he wouldn't be so lax if minecraft wasn't as successful.
Regardless of criticisms on work ethics, I do enjoy the direction minecraft is taking. There is definitely some criticisms that should be told. Without constructive criticism Notch wouldn't be able to improve the game as much as he has.
minecraft is a ****ing epic game. I love everything about it. There are so many players out there that constantly judge and criticize the efforts of notch and jeb. I think all content added is great and that they should keep up the good work.

Im talking about if notch released the game as-is. We CAN sue him for his false claims from his posted intentions, as they will have affected his non-refundable sales.

Updates have been repeatedly promised. This includes for before and after the official release.
He is just giving a scenario where no updates happen since everyone claims Notch could stop. They all claim that you purchased the game as it is and should have no expectations.
Any claims of relating to "Minecraft will contain <insert feature that never gets realized>" which will make people say "well now that <insert feature that never gets realized> is included I will finally buy the game".

You should really stop talking now, you understand absolutely nothing about law. I would rather not have to destroy your post.
