Also, bit of thought I had . . . since we have towns, would not ruins be next? Symbols of a civilization of the past . . . Maybe a nasty new zombie could be found lurking near these, perhaps a puker or light resistant type donning the identity of whatever new NPC's models will be.
Just so long as they look nicer than villages. Villages look horrid. They might be built with realistic materials, but man... wood rarely ever looks nice, IMO.
Aren't wolves limited to the pine forests? If that counts as its own biome, that is.
I do agree that I'd be nice though. Scorpions in the desert, alligators and trolls(?) in the swamps, and so on and so forth.
Nate's idea is nice too. I agree.
Forests, and Arctic forests yes, but in comparison to Mooshrooms which are set in both appearance and function in to their own biome that they are the only mobs that will actually spawn there.

Yes, there should be biome specific mobs. If a big company ever decide to make a Minecraft clone, they will do it.

This bit you are reading now is my signature. It's a block of text that's added to everything I post. So long as it fits within the 255 character limit of course. I think that means spaces too but I'm not really sure.
Quite a frightening creature to come across, even oceans have a boss.
