Because fans are busy with playing minecraft ^^
Or they are sleeping... or at work ^^
Agreed :happy.gif:
Certainly all the best players are actually playing the game.

In any case, I like the new area-specific mobs.
We always had wolves and slimes, but the requirements were too lenient and too strict.
Now, we have clear boundaries: Cave spiders are in abandoned mineshafts, silverfish are in strongholds, Mooshrooms are in mushroom biomes, Blazes are in Nether ruins. I hope that we get a specific mob for each "distinct" biome, but that probably won't happen, at least not in the near future.

Ah good, you posted I must apologize for my ranting attitude . . . It happens if I get annoyed.
Thank you for agreeing though, I do hope many changes will occur in biomes other than their appearance alone.

I love how different places have different mobs and the recent updates even strengthen it. I found sheeps mostly spawn near the pine trees (they spawn like crazy there) where cows are on plains. I'm looking forward more hostile mobs that reside specific biomes :smile.gif: .

Well regular passive mobs yes . . .
I'd certainly love to see more of them.
frogs would be great in the swamp woulden't they? Poisonous if possible.
Got to get back at those damn cave spiders.

Instead of mobs spawning per biome type, I think it'd be more dynamic for biomes to have different traits that dictate what spawns there; ground type, the type of trees nearby, etc.
This would allow people to create zoos, of a sort, bringing in terrain and trees from all around and "terraforming" an area to put everything in.
Per-biome logic seems a bit.. limited. Basing it more dynamically on what the player does to the world empowers the player more.
I like the area specific mobs idea. I think the main problem would be the need to make a lot more creatures though.
One way around this would be simply making new skins for a couple creatures. For example what if zombies that spawn in the desert spawn with a mummy skin? You wouldn't even need to change the sounds or anything. And I've been wanting to see skeletons with swords forever. They could be common in strongholds.
Indeed. I can picture mountain goats, alligators, frogs, bisons for plains... :-). Also there are blue spiders.
Goat biome? *eyesparkle*
I think minecraft could use a little more diversity. Excluding squids, all current passive mobs are domesticated animals. It would be nice to see some biome specific mobs, like something tropical for jungles, and something reptilian for swamps, maybe a rare wooly beast found exclusively in snow biomes? :smile.gif:
I don't know if I care about dozens and dozens of animals... but it is annoying that most of the peaceful mobs are farm animals. It's somewhat disconcerting to find pigs climbing mountains and cows wandering into the desert.
It would be nice to encounter a very few selected mobs that were biome specific.
It would be nice if there were a mob or two that spawns exclusively on sand. I'd even appreciate scorpions that are hostile during the day, just to spice things up. And they kill passive mobs similar to how wolves do.
Even if you like or dislike Mooshrooms, are they not the first biome unique mob*?
In fact, NPC's as well are the first "area" unique mob.
Squid beat them to it.
Imagine the desert mobs, mountain mobs, swamp mobs, snow mobs, etc.
Could they now be a real possibility? *They spawn only in their own biome, nowhere else.
I do like the possibilities for the future of flora and fauna in the game though. Crocodiles in swamps, bears in cold forests, lions on the plains.
Of course, they'll need new eggs for that:

More Ocean Life: Kelp, Coral, Crabs and Jellyfish; Coconut Palm trees for beaches and islands. Terrain Generation Changes: Which biomes and world-building features are most in need of change?
Nether Napalm Creeper. Literally what you would see in Hell.
lol I think we have enough firey explosions in the Nether. Maybe the nether slimes could leave a burning trail behind them.
Now that we will be able to domesticate all the passive barnyard critters, we need some new passive wild critters.
Frogs - swamps
Deer - they can go in pretty much any terrestrial biome, minus Mushroom
Bats - having something that exists during night time that isn't out to kill you would be nice
Badgers - Mushroom biomes >.>
Snakes - Deserts <.<
Turtles - oceans, maybe swamps too
Crabs - to scuttle around on ocean floors

I think their pretty funny. Of course you're going to get immature people who are going to complain. They act as if this game needs to be strict and serious.
Not necessarily, they began as a mob that spawned in water below sea level as long as there was 2 blocks of space available.
Ocean biomes didn't exist when squids came to creation. Water wasn't a biome back then, just a locale or feature, so to speak.
A note on squids though, I'm extremely happy they can move in 3 dimensions now, always having to go to the ocean floor to kill them was frustrating and caused many unwanted/unnecessary deaths.
Slimes, which I believe were mentioned, do not spawn in a biome they spawn in a particular layer section of all maps, as well I don't really believe caverns/mine shafts/ravines/strongholds/dungeons to actually be biomes, they are more like holes cut out of the map, and in the case of Mines and Strongholds new blocks are placed in certain locations.
Also, bit of thought I had . . . since we have towns, would not ruins be next? Symbols of a civilization of the past . . . Maybe a nasty new zombie could be found lurking near these, perhaps a puker or light resistant type donning the identity of whatever new NPC's models will be.

Not did say the specific words "Egg blocks"
SASQUATCH.
im unsure why this quote is here...
I've already kind of thought of a few mobs for the desert
But first they need to fix the biome generation so it doesn't suck.
