1a. Nearly everyone has said, villagers are stupid looking, sorry, it's true. It's also my personal opinion that they don't fit in Minecraft.
1b. Villagers don't do anything, Notch said they would, but alas, they do not. FACT.
2. New mobs, infact, DO look like Pokemon as other people have said. Both Pokemon and Minecraft are good, but never the 2 should mix in Vanilla...... Another opinion.
3. Where are the skills? Really, no word on these. Just an xp bar that does nothing, for, what, 2 updates? That's unprofessional on Mojangs part. That I believe is less of an opinion and more of a fact.
So, is this a joke? They've been working a long time on 1.8, which was split up into 2 updates, 1.8 and 1.9. Pre-release means they are done with the features and fixing the bugs, or at least that's the way it was in 1.8. So the logical conclusion is that this is what we get.
Worth the time (a lot) waiting? Not to me. Your opinions?
pre-release was pretty much to test the addition to the new mobs and the nether revamp. Rest is prolly already added just not in the current pre-realse
As for how the NPC's look does it really matter if they have a function? Its better then 5 steves running around.
This is what happens when you let children post on forums. Whine whine whine gimmie gimmie gimmie. Lots of name calling and no actual solutions given by them. There should be an age limit to post on here.

"Nether Revamp" thats a laugh... Took me 10 minutes in creative mode flying around to find a structure, once i found it i saw 3 new blocks, a slinky lava slime, and a fire elemental from WoW. That seems anticlimactic. Where are the rare nether ores, new tools, new meaning to "ADVENTURE UPDATE".... It's not very adventurous if you have to spend hours looking for villages that don't do anything, or days treading the nether only to get ****ed by the mobs and falling into lava...
Also, if they can make the shittiest looking npc's then they can also simply improve upon the steves. Take a look at Millenaire, it's so polished that it makes Minecraft cower in shame...

GAH.
People like you need to pay attention.
The much vaunted 1.8 did not get split up into 2 parts.
It got split up into MANY parts. It's nowhere near finished yet! 1.10 is coming soon. And probably 1.11 after that. There's no current word on HOW MANY parts there will be. The ORIGINAL idea of it being in TWO parts was changed.
1. Why dont the villagers do anything? Because they're NOT DONE. I guarantee you, Notch/Jeb's original intentions for the villagers WILL be realized. But you have to give it time. It's IN DEVELOPMENT.
2. It's easy for things to look like Pokemon. The designers of the series could take a trash can and use it as the base to design a new pokemon (and for all I know, they have). They make Pokemon out of lots of stuff. And really, Minecraft is a freaking wierd place to begin with. The new stuff FITS with the usual absurdity of it.
3. What part of "IT'S NOT FREAKING DONE YET" doesnt make sense to people on this forum?
I like how everyone's answer to everything in Minecraft is HERP DERP PRE-RELEASE IT MUST GET BETTER SOON SO SHUT UP.
Really? Does anyone remember 1.8? How much changed before the pre-release became the official release? Jack **** as far as I remember. A couple of bug fixes that didn't even patch he majority of problems.
However, I do defend 1.9. For the sheer amount of content Mojang scripted into this one is so little time, it is definitely a breathe of fresh air after the slow release of the underwhelming Halloween and 1.8 updates.
Hopefully the villagers will be changed due to popular demand, and be patient on things like trading and player interaction. Scripting **** like that in Java is not nearly as easy as the modders make it out to be.
The only real problem I have with this update is that performance is so bad it's virtually unplayable. Whenever you're in the vicinity of NPC villages, there's immense lag. It seems like performance when way down hill in this one since 1.8, and it really, REALLY needs to be fixed.
Not everyone's computer can play Crysis, Mojang.
(BTW, the OP here is just repeated ****, but whatever. Wherever I can dump my ****.)

Jk, It's not the official release, stupid. :3
Don't you notice "MINECRAFT 1.9 PRERELEASE"?
As for how the NPC's look does it really matter if they have a function? Its better then 5 steves running around.
Did you really need to make another thread to announce this to the world? There are plenty of other whine threads. Post in one of those.
Disruptively Insubordinate, Fails to Attend to Duty
2.play 1.8.1
3.Pre release

3. They're working on it, dude. Give them time.
it's only the mine craft pre-release and hold your horses, and just wait because 1.9 full version will soon come out.

If I were him I would laugh while counting my money, honestly.
Haha, I agree...
