I would be fine with it if it didn't make jumping up cliffs too hard to do quickly. :/ At least this should be an easy fix
The problem is that I'm usually pushing jump again like a millisecond or three before I land. Before, I would just jump up once I was on the ground. Can't do that anymore. I have to wait until I'm firm or I don't jump at all.
If just that tiny problem with pushing jump too soon was fixed, I would be 100% OK with this idea, but until then, meh.
Minecraft relies too much on jumping to move around the world for them to take out the multi-jump. If they don't put it back in, I'm sure there will be mods to fix that. It'll be my first time having an actual need to install a client-side mod.

and I don't see how this is a problem, you can still jump and then jump when you land, if you need to, bunnyhopping was not anymore useful for actual navigating, only use was in getting around on flatish ground faster.
As clarified, it was being readded. As this is not an official release, nothing is certain, so I ask you, and others to not complain/rage over additions/changes/lacking content, until 1.9 is officially released and is final, as until that point, ANYTHING can happen to 1.9.
