So I was taking a boat trying to fill in my map so I could easily traverse my world. I noticed the ocean looked so empty and though Notch should throw in some coral or something so that it doesn't look as empty and maybe 1 new water mob! Or maybe some kind of sunken ship dungeon along with strongholds
And that's why you must craft snorkels or some type of scooba gear and wear it in place of a helmet.
/sarcasm.
I agree would be cool to see new stuff in the ocean, maybe if you could at least see the fish (that you catch when you go fishing) it would be much cooler. And it would make fishing work a little better or at least help you know if fish are there.

Voyager I wrote:People are very fond of making real-world analogies without remembering that in the real world, cities are occupied at all times and someone can't tear your house down in 5 minutes with their bare hands.
I say that a definite addition should be a way to breath and see better underwater, and sunken ships. In addition, underwater cities, with NPC mermaids. Last, is fish, because I know that Im not the only one who thinks squid are dumb. Unless they make calamari.... Yum

Kelp - grows straight up to the surface, opposite physics as a vine, but won't spread over a larger patch than mushrooms do (~5 in a cluster).
Sharks - wolves of the sea.
Tuna - pigs of the sea.
Crabs - semi-aggressive like a wolf, crawls around at shallow/moderate depths.

More Ocean Life: Kelp, Coral, Crabs and Jellyfish; Coconut Palm trees for beaches and islands. Terrain Generation Changes: Which biomes and world-building features are most in need of change?
Well, this restriction is the FIRST problem.
