when I type something and press preview and go back to the original page, the whole thing clears up.

Please can you clarify, what steps can I take to reproduce this issue? The preview should display inline, you don't need to go to a different page, if you click "Preview" your post will display below the preview, then you can continue editing or click "Post Reply" (or "Create Thread") to submit.
