I like the old infraction bar, mainly because you could see very clearly how you stand with your infractions (it would also change color), and you could click above the bar to quickly view your infractions.
The "little circle" (in your avatar, green right?) is actually your online status. When it's there that indicates that you're currently online (browsing the forum).

Like Fixided I never much cared for displaying a users infraction status next to their posts, it often confused users and I don't really see the merit in constantly reminding users they have warnings (they're called warnings now by the way). That said if there's a compelling argument for displaying warning status next to posts we can certainly consider it.
