The current MCF has the 'Latest News Articles' box at the top, which can be used to check for new snapshots and other interesting things. It simply features the 3 three latest news posts at the top. Check this for a visual.
Thanks for the feedback! I'm not sure if we're going to re-add this, the usage of it was very very low however we're going to look into it and see if we can justify re-adding it.
