I sort of like the new layout and designs from the search to the forums, but i don't really like the logo because it may be too dark or something. It just doesn't fit the other designs and stuff.
And for the new header image, I like the old one better. The black and white doesn't look good.
(It is weird that the site has forum in its name, but the main page is a blog. xD)
The logo is for the name of the site, which is 'forum'. The search bar is telling you to search for something in the forums on the site, it is not saying to search on the site as a whole. There is a difference there.
The name of the site is "Minecraft Forum", as in, the Minecraft Forum however we're not very consistent about it. For example our Facebook page name is minecraft forums and we've used the plural in other official places.

Curse PremiumWell, it does look blocky, but it dosen't seem to fit because most of the things here don't have an outline but the logo has a very thick outline.

It's Minecraft Forum, not 'Forums'.
Personally, I like the logo. The fact that it has a different style makes it pop out more, which I think is always a good thing for logos.
