Not really. If you're too lazy to press one extra button, that's not my fault.
But why add it in the first place, all it does is basically act as pressing the enter key twice, so why not just do that instead of making the button act that way?
And it changes what the key does, that's like making the space bar add 2 spaces for sentence ends (to make the end/start distance more apparent) or turning the "q" key into the British pound symbol, and needing to press the shift key to get a q.
Considering NO other text editors do this (as they shouldn't), it's confusing. Not only do you have any way of knowing this without being told, the line break it creates is actually larger rather than appearing as 2 line breaks. So really, it seems to the user that everything is just double spaced. You can't just delete one line break, unless of course you post it, where they are split into multiple line breaks.

It’s the unpleasantness of the system that keeps me out.
I’d rather be in, in a good system. That’s where my discontent comes from:
being forced to choose to stay outside.
My advice: Just keep movin’ straight ahead.

I know this is supposed to be a feature, but it's a really annoying one. I'm with Lemon and Jefe on this one: it should be able to be toggled at the very least or just reversed outright.
Not really. If you're too lazy to press one extra button, that's not my fault.
Point of interest: People are advocating to be hitting a button twice more often but in a less awkward way. I don't think you can attribute laziness to that.

yes, it is not laziness, it is just alot of people will not know. It would be easier to remove it and just hit enter once or if you want to double it hit enter two times... alot easier.
