Let me start off by saying that I really like the current look of MCF compared to other forums, for quite a few reasons.



Some of the new changes I dislike:

• the brown bar above posts is visually jarring. The old color was good, although it could still be shorter.
• Can the names (above the avatar in threads) be centered without the arrow, but same functionality?
• I liked the old board layout better, with no vertical dividers, new reply info flush right, and views/replies "out of the way"
• why are the distance between linesso high?I don't like that the enter key functionality is changed
• too flat. The current forums at least have some accents/subtle gradients, where here the flat colors look really odd with the background (the current forums has nice duo-tones in places)
• thread icons. not feeling it.
• "dirt" seems too overused in the theme (like brown text highlighting, an issue here also is that bullet points and whitespace are highlighted as blue)
• even though it fits in with the "unified" curse bar, I like it better how it is on the current site
• why is my name cut off? There are 3 dots, surely a "mon" could fit in there? I've seen people with longer names not get cut off, is this because of my Curse premium icon?
• can the "edited by" be turned off like it can be in the current forums? I don't feel it's needed to point this out
• are badges gone? I'm a retired moderator, but also Curse premium, so if I changed my title, that would be gone ("retired staff" doesn't appear as a selectable option, but is it my "default" title?). In the current forums it's a bit redundant (it says "retired staff" in THREE places!) it'd be nice with a normal user title, (staff status/retired staff) badge, and just the "premium name" how it is now
• there's no "special BBCode" button in the BBCode editor anymore?
• no spoiler names?
• no indicator for threads you've posted in?
• does the "hot" badge still exist?

Some things I do like:

• new "latest post" layout with the arrow to latest post (even though I would like this flush right)
• similar arrow for "first unread"
• new timestamp location and "time ago" is a nice touch
• while the old rep placement was more pleasing, I suppose it makes more sense in the user panel
• I like the search box appearance (although, honestly, the bottom/right edges look wrong)

Ok, I posted in a thread in the testing forums and saw it. I don't think that showed up before in this section in another thread I posted in, and it's not there now_in the archived section(see screenshot).



And yeah, going from a diamond to.... a sliver that fades with the rest of the icon isn't good. Maybe they could do a blue outline that doesn't change colors w/ icon instead? How about a "blue glow" or something similar (see attached)

EDIT: still not showing up in this thread even though I'm the latest poster :/
