Pretty simple, and I've seen it used in a few other forums. Not many software have it installed by default, but it would be relatively easy to add in on its own.
It's a tiny feature, but it would help encourage "spoiler-ing" small tidbits of games, and would also provide a neat way to spice up posts in Off-Topic, etc.

This is a cool idea, although we already have the name spoiler used by actual spoilers so I wouldn't want to cause any confusion by using the spoiler name again. Do you have an idea of what the name could be, that doesn't conflict with spoiler? I'll add this in once we have a good name for it!

Hmm, yeah... "inline spoiler" is pretty convoluted, and it looks like "s" is already taken by strikethrough.
On the example forum, they just used "ispoiler". Maybe something like "is" would also work?

Lord_Ralex suggested "hidden" and I think that's what I'm going to go with, just need to check something with the dev team first!

That sounds great! Just curious, would it be possible to add keyboard shortcuts as well? For example, after highlighting a string of text, you could press CTRL+S to automatically add the [hidden] tags. It's a stretch, but would add quite the convenience factor.

An example would be the majority of this post: http://talkhaus.raocow.com/viewtopic.php?f=36&t=14371&start=675#p226254
Instead of having a full Spoiler button, the text is blacked out and switches to white upon a mouse hover.
