I want to write my threads and posts exclusively in bb code, however the editor is changing my bb code after I click "Preview". I was trying to write a bulleted list with empty lines in between each bulleted item, but the editor keeps interpreting the empty line as my intention to end the list, so it adds a [ /list ] tag to the end. Then as I was attempting to report this bug, I was trying to use the [ code ] boxes to write out my [ list ][ /list ] code, but this failed as well. This is very frustrating and I would appreciate some help with this!
(I am aware that the bb codes contain no spaces in between the brackets. I added the spaces above so the editor wouldn't change them.)
1. Open a new thread, and switch to the bb code editor.
2. Type something like "[ code ]hello[ /code ]" (no spaces)
3. Switch back and forth between the rich editor and the bb code editor. The code tags will be hidden in the rich editor.
4. Click Preview (from either editor). Resulting preview should be correct.
5. Now go back to the bb code editor and add "[ list ]" (no spaces) after "hello". You should now have "[ code ]hello[ list ][ /code ]" (no spaces)
6. Click Preview again. If you watch closely, you can see the editor delete the "[ list ]" text you just added to the code box. The same thing happens if you add the text and switch to the rich editor (rather than clicking Preview).
