hey guys I have a centos dedicated server sitting around doing nothing with a 1gbps line and I setup minecraft classic servers with no mods for me and my wife to play on and first thing i notice is sometimes when I remove a block it glitches back for a split second than disappears is there any way to fix that?
Another question is for Minecraft Classic is there a mod that will do like a whitelist thing so I can make it so only me and my love can login on it :smile.gif: waiting for notch to improve, SMP mode so me and my love can play on that we both love minecraft :biggrin.gif: thanks guys
@yashua The problem you are experiencing is network lag. My suggestion is to try a custom server that handles board changes differently, so you don't see that "lagging" effect.
As for the white list-thing, again, you may just want to look into a custom server. There are many, excellent, alternatives that provide things such as white listing, block protection, and zoning.

Ideas I would like to see in vanilla Minecraft: 1) A grinding machine — similar to a furnace, but breaks down items like a leather tunic into pieces of leather. 2) Recycling — the ability to smelt metal tools and pieces of armor back into their respective ingots. 3) A hammer — used to break down cobblestone into gravel, and gravel into sand. 4) A study — a work bench that takes an enchanted item and a plain book to extract enchantments at the cost of experience.
