Well it obviously is. And you sorta misused "alas." I mean, technically that makes sense I guess. But it's not how you'll ever see it used.

Okay dude, so I just watched Triangle, a movie about recurring time loops. I kept screaming "if you know what's gonna happen, why don't just break the loop really easily?!" but alas, movies do not have ears or brains. I have, however, made a connection between this conversation and the movie.

If I know that me politely disagreeing with you will just propagate this off topic discussion of "alas," why don't I just... not disagree with you?

Two options:
1. Kingnerd is on vacation or something.
