Yeah, he did. He still has his balls, but only because I don't want to do time for assault. What I was trying to ask earlier is this: Since everyone's computer holds the mapfile, and the mapfile is divided into chunks, why can't we just load the chunks with dvar's temple but not smitty's?
It is not that easy... so no...cant really do that.
Guys, I want to apologize. I should not have gone afk with my room mate nearby, and I should not have stayed logged in. I should have gotten rid of my TNT and obby, too. Anyway, I'm sorry I let it happen, and I completely understand if you're angry at me.
He did it because I "keep him up by snoring." I don't know what the **** his problem is or was. Pardon the strong language, any mods reading this. But yeah, I'm going to make him miserable for the next few weeks. Or months.
You're missing something, potato. This wasn't because some griefer hacked his way onto the server or something, this was because I got up and left my goddam computer sitting wide open for my room mate. I am on the server regularly, that wouldn't have solved anything. The only way to have prevented that would be for me to take the .5 seconds to exit minecraft. So it would "solve" that problem in the sense that my room mate could never get on again, as I'm 98% sure flats is not going to give me the IP.
Whenever you switch the server, please tell me (within the hour) so I don't have to wait another week again. Will we have to be accepted again? Will my house still be there?
Kk... I had a few of these persepective images from my past work lying around, and thought they described part of my ideas for the start of the city core pretty well, mainly with respect to the demarkation of spaces (people might notice similarities with the piazza I made, lol- I tend to do some things often):
My server and I just finished constructing this. Someone came to the server head, saying they would build a Greek temple; I got assigned to the project at some point, and eventually sort of took it over entirely, for whatever reason, giving instructions for how to complete each element and supervising, lol.
I have many years of academic knowledge of Greek temples and their construction methods, so I can faithfully say that this is just about the most accurate rendition possible of a Doric Greek temple from late classical, to early Hellenistic period , in terms of proportion, elements, ratios of parts, column numbers, architectural elements, materials, ornamental patterns, and overall plan that minecraft is capable of. If you look carefully at out work, you can pick out triglyphs, mutules, astragals, and pretty much every other major Doric detail.
Based on size requirements to get this scale of detail, it was constructed from sea level to clouds.
Needless to say, blocks were spawned during construction.
Favorite quote from construction (by a visitor): "... Your cathedral has far too many half blocks....."
and here are some pics from during constructions- some of them look like ruins, which is funny, since they are basically ruins in reverse:
People involved:
Smitty: concepts, intial layout, construction
Dvarvaro: classical architectural consulting, supervising, construction
Lonewander: construction, lighting
Quackzor: construction
Bavianenvoer: construction
Bdsmoot: construction
Flameburn: construction
Racer: construction
Yourdogsdead: construction
Pyro: construction
Flatirons: construction, sever admin
I repaired the HQ, to the best of my ability. I also set a stone floor in the temple to make repairs a little easier, no more falling through the holes.
It is not that easy... so no...cant really do that.
And yes,the new librbary is next project after the new temple is done, and this one is restored.
I really don't know why 10% or more of the community hungers for destruction. Maybe because about 10% of the community is 12.

No, no, 60%.
We've had 30 grief attempts in the past week and we're going on Hiatus.
Jon is changing the IP and we're going through who to de-admin.
Also, we're starting a new sparkly grief-proof city that's actually greek styled. Dvar, you're designing it. :3

can we copy the one we did so far.
also is possible for me to become mod. I don't always trust new's espeacialy when they ask tnt / fire. and I'm on time to time every week.
Plus i don't really feel like creating an app for it either. But it's your call flat.
