We are not really a "RP" server. We follow a building code, but no roleplay. It doesn't seem you know much of building. You said you don't know much of either.
i'm not the best builder although if anyone wants a sqaure house i'm your man! i'd say my strong point is grid mining around the diamond 'sweet spot' . i get lucky alot of the time (in minecraft of course lol). being a guard? errrr only to my own house agianst griefers tbh lol, combat is not my thing.
You said you weren't a very good builder, and didn't have any qualities that stood out.
Adding pictures and refining your building and guard skills would've greatly increased your chances.
If you read first page Turtleey, stated that it doesn't matter if which position you receive, you'll be working alot all around, if someone asked you if they could work for you, but only said they could do 1/3 of the work, it wouldn't be easy to accept them as an employee.

We don't allow underground homes. Second, you were declined. Just make buildings and take pictures. Then reapply.

I'm considering applying but was wondering what, if any, building restrictions apply on this server?
A few.
All homes and stores built within the city must abide by these:
1: Height limit of the area they're built in
2: Must be semi-traditionally greek (no giant modern cobblestone beachhouse squares)
3: You must have permission by an admin (red) to build anything or claim a lot.
4: You must not build outside of lots without permission.
5: Everything huge (like a warship or temple) has to have an actual purpose. This place isn't a freebuild, and we don't want all of our landscape cluttered with random **** that's x2 the size of the city itself.
That's the basics. There's some more stuff on aesthetics that I could over-explain, though.
An admin will show you the "building commission office" which lists all of these once you're in the server.
I'm not going to accept or decline any of the 3 unanswered applications on this page, because all of them have builder involved, and none include pictures.
I recommended posting pictures if you already weren't intending to.

after much work i managed to get some screenshots on a project i spent a few hours on after school. it is somewhat unfinished due to my short attention span, but i hope it gives a good enough indication of my skills. (i must mention that this is not done legitly, i edited in most of the materials so that i could focus on building and not have to spend time on resource gathering. i had no screens of "legit" works, so i just made this to have something to show my style of building...)

But I don't think 300 pigs alone would do it. I have spawned 450 once, and we were borderline fine. Now 1000 maybe, haha... that would be bad.
Anything over 200, though, does tax the server to some degree.
