actually caern was the most active town on the server before dion decided to make a nation and split its active members into new towns. And of course the town of those towns that flipped sides.
Most active before 1.0.0 came out. After 1.0 was released there was less people all around the server, and Caernarvon being the largest town was hit the hardest. In the end, just about the rest of the server banded together and formed TBE. And it was only 4 towns. Caernarvon, Riven, Aitis-Magni and Caemlyn. Riven disbanded due to no money in the town bank and Aitis just bailed on us, far as I'm concerned.
Not Dion, but y'know this BS isn't happenin'. It won't pass, and in your frustration, you'll go out of your way to PvP the least active town and nation in the server. You're so cool, bro.
Well, I didn't expect you guys to like or accept it. I was hoping some of your inactive members would see it and come back to help you some (just saying so I don't look like a douche because I'm really not). But anyways it looks like I'm just going to go ahead and declare open war. Saying it on here so everyone knows. Nightroado decided to one man army our military and killed Enfourvie and took his building supplies. So unless anyone wants to give the stuff back we're openly warring.
Cav, I heard you took lavaeffects away from pyromancers because it was too powerful of a heal. The same goes for every other class with an 'effects' skill. Some of those classes are complained about far more often for that very reason. I, however, ask that you restore pyromancers to their former glory. If you take away the effects from one class, then you should so the same to all of them to be fair. And let's face it, that'd be boring :smile.gif:
Eh...what?
I did no such thing O.O

I told him about it because I saw someone else bring it up in global and say that healing while in lava was disabled/nerfed. My bad.
I was reading up on Bookworm, and it has some options that can be set to limit book distribution. I'm interested in what people think:
1) Only book-authors can add their book to a bookshelf.
When this is enabled, other people can't take your book and put it in their own bookshelves. So if they want to add your book to their library, they'll have to get you to do it for them.
2) Only book-authors can copy their own books.
When this is enabled, other people can read your book at the bookshelf, but they can't make free copies of it on their own - you'd have to give them an actual copy.
I think it would definitely be more fun if 1) were enabled. If people want to set up their own libraries and the like, this would motivate others to actually come visit. Otherwise, some other/bigger library (like mine, say) could just get a copy of the books and set up their own bookshelves to distribute them, no permission required.
I actually sort of like 2) as well. I think ideally, this would be set for specific books by the authors - but no way to do this currently as far as I know. Unless Cav wanted to do work on Bookworm; but it might not be an easy thing to code.
If it were enabled generally, it would mean you would either have to go to a bookshelf to read a book, or get a copy of it that was created by the author. And that could be kind of interesting - people could potentially sell their books in-game if they liked.
Also, both being enabled would allow for things like towns having private books/newspapers; just keep the bookshelf in a secured, town-only location and only give out physical copies to trusted people. As is, if you tried to do that.. all it takes is one person making a copy and giving it to an outsider, and the book is infinitely reproduceable.
- - -
This is all in the spirit of good fun, of course - technically anyone who can read your book could copy-paste/retype it to notepad and then make their 'own' book that was an exact copy. So as a practical matter, I think this could just make for some fun stuff like.. non-identical libraries, so people interested in books actually have to travel around to read them, or buy copies, etc. And town-only books/newspapers, perhaps some "forbidden books" buried in dusty, locked library basements, so on :smile.gif:
Is there a limit to how many pages or words you can use with bookworm?
That is an excellent question, and I haven't noticed any mention of limits on the Bookworm wiki. If there are any such limits and I encounter them, I'll let you know. Hopefully the only limit will be.. the attention span of the reader, ha!

Gotta keep the reader interested.
What do you need to write a book? Are there any materials required?
well cav has already implemented a setting that only the book owner can remove books from their shelves. The copy thing should in my opinion stay as it is. I use my towns bookshelves to distribute town rules and a town map to my citizens. sooo yeah.

1) is about creating a bookshelf with someone else's book. As is, I can take a copy of your book and stick it in a bookshelf of my own.
I'd definitely rather see that disabled, as essentially it would make multiple libraries useless. If one town has a big library and stocks every book - which will be easy, since I can just copy your library's books and add my own bookshelves for them - people won't need to go anywhere else.

Well.. it's easy enough to do that by making some copies yourself and sticking them in a chest for people to take. Seems to me the very slight loss of convenience would be offset by all the interesting possibilities we'd gain. I'd prefer it be something the author could toggle, of course. But since it's not.. I just really like the idea of people trying to sell copies of books they've written in-game. That would be cool.
Although at least with 1), if only the author could create a dispensing bookshelf, we could still get people marketing their books to various libraries, hashing out exclusive distribution rights contracts.. lots of fun stuff :smile.gif:

I gave the building mats back. And even if I didn't, so what? Last time I checked killing and looting was legal. In fact, check this out:

I rescind the treaty that Zessus has put foward. In the case of my banning, I name gamegeared as my successor. If he does not want the position, I'll leave it to Nara to decide.
EDIT: I'd like my builder status taken away too please
Everyone needs to calm down and group up a bit. Seriously.
I've received 8 messages this morning alone complaining about this player or that player, because they did this or did that or threatened this or beat their sister's sheep to a pulp with a bleeding wet salmon.
I'm sick of it.
Looting = Allowed.
Random PvP = Allowed.
Pissing off the Owner with random ******** Ban Requests = Bloody F**king annoying.
Now, stop pissing about on this thread, use the MineScape forum (For the FINAL time!) and if people don't follow that rule, I'm handing out server bans.
I'm officially fully sick of this.
Enfour's builder powers have been removed as per his request.
If ANYTHING happens, I'm handing out a dozen bans regardless of whether or not the people I ban are guilty or not.
I apologize, cav. I understand why you want that kind of stuff to be kept on the forum and not the thread. We just get caught up in things so it slips our minds. I cut out my screenies and moved them, along with the ones from today to here:
I think this is the wrong time to ask but, I think I got somesort of Virus and would ask if anyone knows the solution cos you guys are smart. I can't seem to log into any minecraft server and this is what I get:
Now this only started happening when I logged into a given account, apparently the person was giving out 'free' accounts so I accepted one and logged in it. Then this message occured once I went on the account Ninjamatic again. Was this a scam?

I did donate a sizable sum to Hammerup ( again.. :tongue.gif: ) for that purpose, but I guess he forgot to deposit it this time.
Aw, I haven't seen Hammer in a long time. I miss that guy.
I can, and will, start on a few romanticism poems and au contraire to popular belief I am quite poetic.
Edit- 123rd Post :smile.gif:
Roses are red,
Violets are blue.
STFU or else I kill you!
Very... clever?
