Do you have any experience of being a moderator? Which servers have you moderated/moderate?
I have been a moderator on some small forums a while ago, but never on a server. But I know the game, and I know how to deal with people (both good and bad).
What are the key things for a moderator to be?
A moderator needs to be responsible. He can't abuse his power, no matter how tempting it might be. On the other hand, he also shouldn't be unnecessarily strict and hard on the server's members, since this will generally degrade the playing experience. In short, be friendly and approachable, but slam that banhammer when you need to. Oh, and you need to be able to know when the banhammer is necessary as well. Jumping the gun and banning someone who wasn't intentionally doing anything wrong is not good at all.
Why do YOU want to become a moderator?
I simply think I would do a very good job. I fit the responsibility requirement (I would hope so, I'm 20 years old. eek), and I'm generally a fun (somewhat goofy) guy. I can handle newbies and show them the ropes of the server, and I can deal with trolls and griefers when I need to. I know I could really help with those kinds of things, and want to do what I can to make this server a great place to hang out.
Scenario (Choose one):
1. You see someone griefing a house then use /home when a player attacked them. How would you solve the problem?
Banhammer time. Simple as that. It really has nothing to do with the fact that they used /home. It's has everything to do that they were griefing someone's creation.

Do you have any experience of being a moderator? Which servers have you moderated/moderate?
I have owned about 5 servers, (Jordy can Vouch) and I kept them up for awhile, but getting less people and getting bored, so I shut them down. I also was Admin on a MC Server for a some-what private Forum.
What are the key things for a moderator to be?
A moderator can't lose their temper, that will lead to members hating you, you doing bad things, and things like that. They also can't abuse their powers, I have never abused when I owned a server and when I was also a Admin. Must be friendly though, get to know the members and just be a regular member, besides helping out when someone has griefed or something else.
Why do YOU want to become a moderator?
I think I have alot of past experience, I would know how to do my job, and do it right. Also adding I want to be with Jordy. :wink.gif: I am a Noob-Friendly person, as there was many on my past server. I wouldn't abuse any powers and just be a regular member, besides ofcourse using powers when I need to, no abusing it ofcourse. I'm also 12 if that means anything, but if you worry about me being immature, just ask Jordy,
Scenario (Choose one):
1. You see someone griefing a house then use /home when a player attacked them. How would you solve the problem?
Of course you would ban them, nothing besides that. Griefing = Ban, that how it should be. Doesn't matter about the last part, because Griefing, is the number 1 thing to stop.
Timezone: Central Time USA/Canada
When can you play?
I can play nearly after school, and sometimes all day on weekends if I feel like playing.
Thought I'd give this a shot.IGN: TheCheatCommandoDo you have any experience of being a moderator? Also more proof that I ran a server, here is one of my Ops/Mods.
So there was a problem when I payed for the server. It had me pay $16 for a EU server, and now has a pending $11 (cheap 'cause of promo) transaction for the US one I wanted. I opened up a ticket and now we need to hope they respond soon and get this fixed.
Do you have any experience of being a moderator? Which servers have you moderated/moderate? None at all. However I played on another server for upwards of five months and gradually learned from their admins and mods what it was like.
What are the key things for a moderator to be? Helpful, understanding, yet firm when necessary.
Why do YOU want to become a moderator? I like helping people and I feel like it would add to my gaming experience
Scenario (Choose one):
Due to my lack of moderating experience, I would like to answer two.
1. You see someone griefing a house then use /home when a player attacked them. How would you solve the problem? Assuming there is some kind of jail set up, I would teleport the griefer there, rollback the house, and interrogate the griefer about why he did it. If the player who owns the house is on, I would also ask him/her what happened. I would hear both sides of the story, keeping in mind that there really is no reason to grief a house. If the case is contentious (he griefed me first blah blah), I would ask a higher power about it. If the griefer refuses to answer, ban, then post on forums my reasoning behind said ban.
3. A PvP fight broke out and involved in one side being slaughtered. That whole side is whining and arguing. What would you do to break up the fight? Tell the losing side to shut up about it. Yes, this is a PvP server. No, I will not punish the winning side. No, they will not get their items back. End of story.

When can you play? Sometime between 3-8 pm (depends on the day)

Will the positions of our characters be saved? I hope so because that city is really far out from the spawn.
