I would rather wait until the server is perfectly ready, then start one that has been rushed, please take your time Backdraft. The best things in life are worth waiting for.
Well of course you don't rush the actual set up of the server, but that part is already done. We're just waiting for the neutral city to be built as said in a previous post. This isn't really something that we need to wait for since everyone is going to have to build their cities anyway.

Except you do need to wait... because it kinda isn't your server. If he says it isn't ready then it isn't ready. Your sense of entitlement is amusing though.

To clarify, I cant even connect to the server due to the problems.
Soon...The burden of the few will ride on the many...and the Crafters will rise in the shadow of those who shun them...then and only then...shall we strike...
I am very sorry for the wait all. I have submitted support tickets trying to found out what the problem is. I am doing my best to get the server up and running ASAP.
Yeah, I'd prefer to wait a bit, but one thing you could do is let a few faction leaders on to at least claim a /f home that way when we get on we can just jump right into the construction of the bases, etc.

And If we are able to do that then we can help with the neutral town too.

Is there a faction you are interested in joining?: Not as of now.
What would you do if accepted?: I would hopefully start a faction based solely on mining and trading.
Anything special about you?: I am experienced with redstone circuitry, can build almost anything, and am a talented pianist, with my own note block song :tongue.gif:

So much for you joining the faction my little addicted friend...
we should wait for a neutral town to be created because then we get a nice place to start out in and this makes sure that no factions go ahead and start building before the neutral town is established. This would give that faction a head start and would be cheap. A neutral town should be created and then the factions should go ahead and start to create their cities.
And If we are able to do that then we can help with the neutral town too.
A neutral town shouldn't consist of random players building whatever they want and slapping the title of "Town" on it, it has to match and be precise and it is much easier for Owner/Admin/Mod to do that alone than to have to order around a bunch of players in the process.

What I meant by that is the Faction leaders go and assist in the creation of the town then stake their claims. We would be building to the specifics of the owners, not ours.

How does it give a specific faction a head start? The factions shouldn't have ties to the neutral city other than for trade, otherwise the city isn't exactly 'neutral'. Building up factions and neutral city at the same time allows for the whole server to grow together.
Maybe each faction can have a special district within the neutral city. The factions could have an embassy, and would be able to "show off". The admins and staff can work on the central district which will be completely neutral, and faction leaders and a couple of their members can each work on their portions. In doing so, we would make an awesome trade city that will surely impress newcomers, and factions can get started off a bit, by getting to know their members, and working out the plugins and whatnot.

The only thing that should reside in the neutral city is the embassy otherwise the factions would have influence of the city itself. As for trade, it shouldn't all be done in the neutral city. People should have travel to the other factions so it forces a balanced economy instead of a centralized 'set price' shop area. People can travel to lets say, a distance faction to get a specific material for way less.

Just my ideas, but I don't really have a say.
