It's been nearly 6 months since I began running various projects and RP servers. Now me and my people are fully prepared, for a possible, yet ambitious project, that encompasses all aspects of minecraft, therefore, I post it in this subforum. The project is called Cavemen2Capitalism, if you think about the name you may be able to discover what it is, but I shall tell you. Cavemen2Capitalism is a social experiment, where we throw a whole bunch of people, with alot of time on their hands into an empty map, to form their own rules and government, eventually the people of the server will create a huge empire, naturally formed. The members must be willing to work together. There are no goals for this project, the people can figure that out themselves. There are 3 types of people on the project, only 1 of which people who apply on this thread can be. That is the caveman, the primordial person with nothing. The other 2 are gods and mystical druids which roam the fogotten city. If you would like join, his project, simply put the following info on the thread.
NOTE: CAPITALISM IS NOT THE FINAL GOAL, IT IS SIMPLY AN ALLITERATION THAT MAKES A LIL SENSE< THERE IS NO GOAL SET BY ME.

First day- nothing yet, still preparing map
Day 2 - A small town is growing, some plans for government are taking place, some off-site building, but nothing too bad
day 3- A bad day, 4 ragequitted, 1 vote ban, luckily we skewered out the Griefers, and town hall construction has started again.
Day4- FInally the group gets together and buils a wall, repairs roads and figures out a full judicial goverment.
day 5/1 -map restart due to pop demand
day 2 lots uilt in main town, greifiing stoppeed
Quote from azarus on the second day of progress...Now void and null because of map restart »
While I personally think this is a good idea, also from being active on the server, not all may appreciate this. It could make it way more interesting though.
Also, a status update:
Currently, everyone lives fairly close to each other. Roads are in progress, and most people has a home. For those who don't, I, INNO1996 and later on several others have made a community shelter. This includes beds, a mine, a furnace, a workbench, a fishing spot, and a community chest.
A town square has been established around the spawn. It's uses is a central meeting point, a board with laws, a board with everyones most peoples IGN, country, time zone and coordinates of their in-game home.
Currently, the (player made) laws are as follows:
No griefing
No stealing
No performance enhancing hacks
All dangerous zones must be marked as so
Currently, the server works on a from each according to his ability, to each according to his need (anarchist communistic) basis.
There is currently no kind of currency, but trades are made.
In the near future most we plan on finishing the roads, creating light, and making a town hall. The town hall may be used for creating new laws, and decide if people are guilty of breaking the laws.
Anyway, I'd like to see how this turns out, you may wish to be stricter with recruitment, or else you might just get some screaming idiots, and post in the server sub-forum.
How much of an experiment is this if you're requiring that people participating be required to work together, are implying that an empire will be formed eventually, and are strongly suggesting that capitalism will be the ultimate destination?
Also, a handful of people does not a society make. While this is more of a technicality, such an experiment would be far more interesting if there was more than handful of participants.

This. It's not an experiment if you already know what's going to be happening. Having theories (AKA your hypothesis) about how things will work out if you just place some people in a server with different plugins that enable them to achieve the establishment of some sort of organized government would be different, though.
EDIT: Alliteration? Maybe there's some obscure definition for that word that I'm not aware of, but I don't think that you used it correctly in the original post.

Cavemen and Capitalism both begin with C.
Oooh, there we go. Thanks, wasn't quite paying attention to the name of the project lol.
@Above: Oh fun, sure, but it needs to be executed properly for any decent results. Otherwise this runs the risk of being just another server.

Josh B.
It sounds like it has some chance of being interesting.

Not exactly, I consider projects to go here, if a mod would like to differ, please converse with me first before auto change.
You don't need to know anything about government, capitalism just is an alliteration.

Please explain? I'm interested as I'm quite a fan of political science, but I am not a huge fan of capitalism. . .
Lol. please read the whole thing through. It becomes obvious that capitalism was for aesthetics.

Awesome stuff.
