Phoenix Realms is a new Minecraft server that strives to run the latest version of Minecraft, the latest RB of Bukkit, and the latest stable versions of some excellent plugins!
What Sets This Server Apart?

[*:276c1bio]Self-service: Tired of waiting for a mod to come help you set up your protection field or enable your teleporter? A main goal of this server is to set up the plugins so that (as much as possible) players can perform main actions on their own, without waiting for mods to help them. (Of course, this is still a beta game and things are not perfect, but it is a goal.)
[*:276c1bio]Peaceful living: there are plenty of PvP servers out there - this is not one of them. There might eventually be PvP tournaments of some sort but these will not be held in places where your creations can get destroyed.
[*:276c1bio]Commitment: as will be covered in more detail later on in this post, a $1 USD donation is required to get added on to the whitelist. The goal here is to keep this server for serious, mature players (and weed out griefers.)

This server is rented and paid for monthly - in order to keep it up (and hopefully upgrade to an even larger server!) donations are needed. There is a PayPal set up for this (with links on the Phoenix Realms forums.) Only $1 USD is needed to join and no further donations are required (but you can get some fun features for additional donations!) The basic goal here comes down to commitment and maturity - $1 shouldn't be a huge barrier for most people but it does make sure that they are serious about joining this server (and that they actually read all the rules, like this section which I bet a lot of people will miss!)
How Do I Join?
To help ensure maturity and commitment from our members (mainly to help eliminate griefers) there is a Whitelist and a $1 USD donation is required (in addition to an application) to get on that Whitelist. Donating does not guarantee that you will be accepted so please wait to donate until your application has been accepted. Donations will not be refunded!
The first step is to fill out these few questions (just copy/paste in a reply and fill it out) right here in this thread NOTE: Except under very special circumstances (like the younger sibling of a current member) applicants must be 15 years old or older to apply!
