I usually dig underground, where it's safe, and I use t.he special transparency edited blocks, so I see enemy's before Θey see me. But I can get a lot of points like Θis.

Bout 4 days worth of playing. I have a viaduct going from one end of the map to the other, with multiple stairs I can use to hunt. At this point, the map is pretty hosed below ground. I had been using this awesome lava lake (about 80 x 80 blocks wide) to drown large groups, then at some point a creeper kaboom connected it with the ocean...... I do have one pit I use for creepers, its actually reached the boundary blocks at the bottom just from the explosions.
Says the guy who held the #1 spot on the .24 leaderboard. Is my no life a result of saving and coming back to the game repeatedly over a 4-5 day period?
Or perhaps its because I play this "silly little game" and enjoy it enough to want to post a pic of my accomplishment.
Whatever your reason, Lets hook up later @TGB and compare lives.
Wow... how is everyone getting such high scores??? well, here is my highest score so far.
For me, I basically went underground fast, hunting brown mushrooms. Get a few dozen of them and then went back topside killing. I used mainly melee attacks to kill, saving the arrows to split up the large groups. Messed around building underground pits to trap mobs, and saved often. Listen for the sounds of mobs near you, then go find them. I built my little aboveground viaduct to make it easy to find the creepers. There are literally hundreds of healing brown mushrooms below ground. Just look for any open spaces in the grey stone below ground. If you find some but don't see the shrooms, remove the blocks around there and usually you will find them. When you get bored, save yet again and take a break. I got my 180k points by coming back repeatedly.

Get ****ing ready, mate. I'ma get 5000000000000000000000.
Well, it seems that the thread has died, and I have secretly been playing for a few days. My score has passed yours by many. I built a temple out of wood- when they climb on it, they fall into a pit that I will flood >:biggrin.gif:
Anything to keep threads alive. My final score was 575730. The temple thing failed- I fell in the hole. So I made one where I got lots of creepers and blew them up in one spot. The drop was HUGE. It ran into six caves then hit the adminblox at the bottom. I built a bridge and got sand- they would follow me onto the bridge then i'd drop them into the hole. They fell into it when I wasn't there, too.
Final score: 639,120. Kapwnt. I don't know what happened. I was walking over my bridge, then the screen flashed white. Nothing moved. I went to heaven because of my score, I guess. ??
Played a few times over the past week, now most caves are flooded with either lava or water and I haven't yet found out all of the secrets of this medium sized map. :smile.gif:
Projects on this map:
-Lure creepers to make huge holes with paths down to the bottom
-Planting trees all over the map, including high up and inside caves (@ picture, it's the first time I got to that place)
-Build useful paths such as bridges and jumping platforms
-Keep everything good looking and not out of place
These "projects" keeps me interested and allows me to continue to play without getting bored. :smile.gif:
I'm going to go ahead and admit now that my 180k score was strictly a Photoshop creation. Actual score was about 80k. Kept playing long enough to get a "1" in the score I could copy/paste in front. More of an experiment than me actually wanting to brag. With a save feature, there really is no upper limit to a score. All depends on how long you want to keep reloading the save.
I agree with Towel, its not hard at all. I can get up to 10000 before I get bored, less than half of the gameplay elements are there so its REALLY repetitive. Its still a damn fine game, and its only in alpha.
