you think notch will ever add this? it'd be an excelent addition, but it's not in his list of stuff to do. ?

well yeah i mean it'd probly be a server option, but i realy realy hope it's made :smile.gif: it'd make people pretty much HAVE to band together, or at least in some instances.

hunger: if bar goes down all the way, then your health starts draining SSSSLLLLOOOOWWWWLLLLYYYYYY. eat meat, mushrooms, and poisin mushrooms to restore hunger.
we also need thirst bar.

Wow, this is great that people are thinking the exact same way as me for "needs" bars. Although as just mentioned the bars should drain health slowly (once completely drained) and should also drain quite slowly. now wanting to have a sleep bar might just me, because it could get a little annoying to have to sleep while mining. (Imagines a guy sleeping in a mineshaft). Again food and drinking should be an option for servers and would be a great addition to survival, as it is called "survival".

Hunger would reinforce the "survival" aspect (and give meat animals more use), but I'm pretty sure Notch has said he prefers to stay away from hunger bars. If it does get implemented, there should only be one bar for food and drink, because having two separate bars is a bit overcomplicated.

yeah, just have a hunger, if anything. because thirst would simply be WAY TOO ANNOYING. (at least to me, imagine having to go down to a lake or something every ten minutes :/ nothing would get done less you ahd a realy newrby water source or an efficient supply system.)

Yes to food. It would introduce farming and make it more like survival.

so, conclusion;

different foods deplete the hunger bar and heal hearts differently.

Sandwich: heal 4, hunger -2
Milkshake: heal 1, hunger -3
Teddy bear Stuffing: heal -5, hunger -1

so when we don't have enough hearts but the hunger bar is empty.

Notch said he didn't want fatigue as it punishes the player for doing things right. Fatigue by any other name blows just as hard.
