the spawn rate/size is proportional to the size of the map...
the bigger the map the more mobs will spawn...
so if you are playing on a relatively small map... it could take quite a while to spawn 1 or 2 mobs...
try playing small generated map in survival...
you'll notice that you'll tend to find very little mobs compared to when you are playing normal or huge maps...
Got to 20000 points (30-something mushrooms, 99 arrows) holing up in the church (plus a lot of wandering around) and then I clicked on a bookmark ;-;

Wow, this escalated. iPope, I was actually planning to make some sigbars and stuff, but yours are just fine how they are, but be aware that the forums have a 79 pixel height limit for sigs image-wise(trust me, I tried it out myself). I'm glad there's more mappers coming on, and by the rate these maps are coming along, I can start this entire thing by tomorrow, I'll just need to choose a map for this. As for the people who are already posting screenshots of their scores right now, I admire your charisma, but this hasn't started yet, though this will help in you in the future.

D: Nice map though, I only had pigs spawning inside and around the base.
