It seems the general gist here is to post each suggestion separately, but a bunch of my suggestions tend to be a bit interrelated. This link goes to an Excel 2010 document (.xlsx format) with three spreadsheets: new materials/biomes, new crafts/objects, and new gameplay concepts.
I'd wager a decent portion of these have already been raised, but hopefully some others will spark further ideas. Here's a quick listing of the topics included in the spreadsheet:
Materials/Biomes
- Marble
- Quartz
- Silver
- Crystal
- Lime
- Obsidian (this already exists... but currently rather useless)
- Perlite
Crafts/Objects
- Darts (like arrows; concurrent with making bows/arrows more long-range)
- Faery Dust (used for other purposes)
- Anti-Gravity Armor (not quite anti-... more slightly gravity resistant)
- Undersea Helmet (for staying underwater a long time)
- User-Created Mobs (Pets, Carnivorous Plants, Animals, Clones, Merfolk, Dragons)
- Concrete variations
- Chain (Chain, Chain Link Fence, Chain Armor
- Lighting (Torch Helmet, Decorative Torch, Chandelier)
- Navigation (Sextant, Timepiece, Barometer)
- Electronics (Capacitor, Resistor ... this section is still being thought out more)

No to all the things in materials and objects. that stuff sound really stupid. And the rest I don't know what they would do so I can't form a opinion. this is a wish list now.
