I know that alot of people have made suggestion for furniture but never really touched on any possibilities as far as uses were concerned, outside of just for appearances. So I gave it some thought and figured I'd throw them out there.
= Bed
Beds actually crafted into a single item like this could be right clicked on and your character will heal half a heart every 3 seconds it's standing on the bed. It'd be a nice bonus to having a permanent dwelling or safehouse. If it's possible, I would make it use up multiple inventory spots (4 or 6) for the sake of discouraging people from carrying one around with them, and when it's broken down it would only yield half or less of the materials used to build it. So you'd only get back 2-3 blocks of cloth and one wood with two sticks. It'd be cool, too, when different color clothes get implemented as it gives a little uniqueness to your house.

A flowerpot could be used as a decoration. Nothing really else to say to that. It could be made so that it produces more flowers once, say, every 2 minutes, but only for a max of 5 flowers per pot ? Since there's no way to grow flowers in Minecraft yet I think this could be a useful idea for those of us that like to garden. :tongue.gif: Breaking it down would give back your bucket and one flower.

= Scarecrow, where the gold bar stands for any type of helmet.
[] []
Scarecrows would be awesome for farming. It would prevent friendly mobs from spawning and coming near it.
The range of how far it would scare animals away would depend on the helmet used. Where leather would be 7x7, iron would be 9x9, gold would be 11x11, and diamond would be 13x13. This would be so helpful for farming and make it much more rewarding, considering it would prevent your crops from being trampled. Unless of course you don't have torches around them and let hostile mobs around.

= Watch, where the red flower could be a gear, if it ever gets put back in. If not,
[] [] then redstone would be used.
The watch could be placed on a wall, where then it would be called a clock, obviously, or if in your inventory, shows up on your characters wrist. It would play a tone of some sort one minute before the sky begins to darken for nightfall.

You could probably see where I'm going with this one. Dynamite would be a throwable object with a 2~3 second delay before explosion after being thrown. The count down would begin as it leaves your hand. The blast radius would be 1/3rd the size of tnt (I'm not really sure of the exact size of the blast radius), or maybe like 3x3 as the strong explosion, and an additional 2x2 of a less damaging explosion. Dynamite would be really useful for killing multiple enemies in a cave without destroying too much of the materials around it (such as ores). The downfalls would be griefers being able to perform hit and run tactics on structures. Still, it could be interesting to have on hand to throw at said griefers....
If it could be possible, it'd also be nice for the jukebox to permanently hold records, unless broken down. If it is broken down, it would give back all your records and the jukebox separately. Instead of popping the records out when right clicked, it would allow you to choose which record to play.
That's really all I have for now.
Tell me what you guys think.
