Most of these are suggestions for survival
1. Decrease plank destruction time
I noticed on survival that it takes a while to dig through logs, that I can accept, but it takes the exact time to dig through wooden planks, how about speeding up the time used to dig through planks. (Or maybe I'm wrong about planks and they are tough against digging. Maybe they are like diamonds, except the opposite. Maybe wooden objects are resistant to bashing, but are awful tools. I dunno. Correct me if I'm wrong :s
2. Different bottom for the bottom of the level
Instead of lava, how about a bottomless pit that deletes all blocks falling in. This could make an excellent draining system (Block, Mob, and Players :biggrin.gif:.)
3. Gems with magical properties
How about sticking gems into the ground, but not in a vein, just a single blocks of it random (This makes the gems valuable, just like real life.) Gems also have magic properties, when stuck into a staff, you can channel your powers into the staff and zap stuff (making it even more valuble, also it prevents people shooting fireballs at the first second they connect, which also prevents people leaving and returning for magic regeneration and fireball spam.), according to the gem's color of course.
(You may of heard me say this on another thread, I just wanna stick this here too.)
4. Magic (Combine this with #3)
Magic (mana if you must insist) generates slowly over time, and I mean slow. This will make you go into alchemy (magic crafting) to make potions from herbs, flowers, or mushrooms for a reliable source of magic power. This means no constant fireball spamming :tongue.gif:. Your spell that you cast depends on the power you used (hold down the mouse).
(I think there have been more than 1 suggestions about magic, I just hope what I posted here would make it equal to melee and archery)
5. Planting
Well, its gonna come out, so I wanna put something out there
this is probably the smallest suggestion, but how about making it where plants grow faster when they are growing on a tile with NO grass.
Also, you need to dig out potatoes and other underground plants :tongue.gif:
Note: I want also to see the people's approval of these suggestions. I wanna see if these are good ideas, even though Notch MAY never add these ideas to the game (A lot of suggestions out there, maybe he takes those ideas in place of mine, or maybe it doesn't fit in Minecraft. But MAN, why are there skeletons and zombies, but I can't shoot out bolts of lightning from my topaz staff [If it doesn't get approved]). At the least, I hope to see one of my suggestions on a mod.
