There, sticky is granted. It's dependant on it being kept up to date, though, so please don't let it slide.
Also, yeah, please try and keep duplicate guides/tutorials as limited as possible. New users will be the primary audience here, and it needs to be kept as uncomplicated as possible. If you want help with grammar/formatting, let me know and I can proofread/edit your post for you.
o wow thanks , and yes i won't.
main reason was because of lack of interest by community.. it ended up a couple pages further in just one day..
and with this i'll be reminded every time i visit the forums.. pretty much all the time XD
Not sure how useful something like this is, but recorded it to help out a friend, its a [rather lengthy(28min)] tutorial video, shows off quite a bit, and starts with a newly generated world, going over the basics of getting started, while sharing helpful advice like not digging directly below you(I actually had a good example in the video :tongue.gif:), watching for dark overhangs etc
It is kind of crappy quality video, and its completely adhoc(unscripted) so I kind of mumble my words a little, but if its useful I could maybe put it on youtube for better linking/embedding
