Hi all!
I'm setting up a list of all tutorials/guides/automation projects made up till now because some of these keep popping back up and others have been really useful yet forgotten.
Links marked with a are recommendations and/or most useful links.
If you find any new thread that you find useful and believe that it should be added to the list, leave a comment with the link and description.
PS. excuse me for flaws in my grammar. always welcome to correct me.
Thanks to MaxHim for a clean sweep of all my grammar mistakes and making it look nice.

The infinitely looping cart track (and subsequently "booster" tracks) are no longer applicable as the latest release has fixed the bug that allowed their creation.

I just loaded up my rollercoastertrack and it worked perfectly... so please check again (i used the new client from notch)

Thankyou for linking to my 'Staple Structures' thread :biggrin.gif:
no prob , found it was a must have in the list because your's is really well done
though its not part of the game, i think that a tutorial on how to back files up (or the automatic backup program i made) would be helpful to new users, since most of the threads about broken saves, could easily be avoided. so i guess it would be "useful" in some way. http://www.minecraftforum.net/viewtopic.php?f=35&t=15834

You can't build the boosters any more. They can still exist (and function) if you made them in the earlier version.
hmmm seems so , but at the very least you can can still use it , as long as you don't break the support. anyway sucks though *must not break the rollercoaster*
A lot of people keep asking what has happened in the past weeks while they were in a place far far away with apparently no access to internet or computers at all.
Do not wallow do not stall
Time waits for none at all
Your allowance may crawl,
It may fly or even vanish
But none will seem more lavished
Than time lost to all.
It's a good start! We'll see about the sticky. There's already SIX stickies in this forum, which is far too many, so I'll discuss it with the other staff.

done and yea i know , i remember alot of tutorials and great threads about alot of stuff but due to updates some of those become obsolete. I think i'm going to try to digg up those old threads and add the version that is was used for.(IE infintly looping carts)
either way this thread is going to take me alot of hours of works and sorting out. there are so manny duplicate threads x.x
and yes , about the sticky's , I'm not asking for one because of the same reason you point out but i also wouldent want it to die out , maybe a subforum for guides and knowhow's?
it'll prolly even clean up this subforum quite a bit. (i wouldne't mind helping out IE looking the entire forums for threads that should be moved) and eventually i feel like there is going to be a need for a guide subforum..
minecraft is becoming so diverse and well it can still can anywhere , it just have started taken his first steps imo..
There, sticky is granted. It's dependant on it being kept up to date, though, so please don't let it slide.
Also, yeah, please try and keep duplicate guides/tutorials as limited as possible. New users will be the primary audience here, and it needs to be kept as uncomplicated as possible. If you want help with grammar/formatting, let me know and I can proofread/edit your post for you.

done =) and thx for add.
it's noteworthy to be added and looks very neat ^^ just like the staple structures one.

You might want to add that, my huge guide.
Maybe this could be stickied?

If you could, please add http://www.minecraftwiki.net/wiki/Patch_History to the Wiki links. I KNOW that'd be helpful.
