A few minutes ago i started a new game, and made a cave in a hill as usual. However at nightfall i noticed something strange. there was a large crowd of monsters outside my home, and walking among them: Chickens. Some people may say that monsters only attack players, but don't you think it is a little bit strange that chickens spend so much time with monsters? On another save, i found a chicken exploring my quarry, and another spying on me from a hill. Chickens have been spying on most of my structures. While i am writing this, the chicken have left and skeletons and zombies are jumping at my door. Coincidence? I THINK NOT! If you have any chicken spies in your games, post pictures or stories here please.
EDIT: Something strange i have noticed, chickens in SMP does not seem to spy on me. Maybe it is just the Singleplayer chickens that are spies! If so, why are the SMP chickens not spying? Does it have something to do with the fact that you can only go to the Nether in Singleplayer? Maybe the evil chickens are from the Nether? Maybe Ghasts in disguise, or servants of the Ghasts?
Can you see the chicken close to the skeleton? If not, zoom.

I remember coming back from gathering some lumber and a chicken was in my home examining chest! I immediately slaughtered the chicken and I hope not another one of those chickens will sneak into my home!

As a matter of fact I did see many chickens spying on my structures and was starting to form a conspiracy of my own. Like this one time, I'm digging on the lava layer just above the bedrock, I turn around and there's a chicken just calmly following me, not even quacking. I killed it and ran to the surface. No one knows what technology they're using.
Another time, I was doing some gardening by the side of a cliff, and on the other side, on a tiny ledge there was a chicken staring at me. Then it layed an egg and started swinging it's wings and whatnot just to look normal.
I'm telling you all, people. They're up to no good.
Chickens like to push me down my mining shaft when I'm working on it. I come back to get my stuff, they lay an egg and stare at me stupidly. They're up to something >_>

One time, I was building a makeshift home on the Isle of Happiness and Prosperity on my map and right when I was about to place the door a chicken flew in . Holy cow, it all makes sense now! Back in the days i was creating a huge hole in the ground, and at the top ledge as i was burrowing towards the depths a chicken stood, perfectly still, staring down at me. I kept digging, and every single time i looked up, he was there. Watching..
And yesterday I had a new save, vowing never to turn the game to peaceful. I had constructed me a little fortress on top of a mountain, with a neat -wall, and returned from a -gathering trip. There were 4 chickens in my little castle, jumping around examining my stuff. I don't like this one bit!
I once had a chicken watch me lay down a tnt cannon. I was testing its desing (in solo) (i reallly reallly dont like surprise creepers :biggrin.gif:) I just put the final switch. I hit it and suddenly a chicken jumped infront of the firing cannon (24 tnt would have flown at a creeper) And my whole thing blew up, i ahd .5 heart left. I think there smarter than we think. On a related not, why do we not yet have chicken smilies, or pigmen/ghasts?

Dude! they are! same thing with me! A group of chickens were right in front of me at night once, I was about to kill them for feathers when i was blown up by creepers right behind me! It is clear to me that they are using these monsters to protect themselves.... but why?!?! what are they planning?!?!?!
I think that the chickens 'lured' you here, erased your memory, and are playing games just like what the predators do to the humans. Oh god, ESCAPE THE DAMN ISLAND NAO!

-lock pick
-several pipe bombs
-a map of my operation
-another less detailed map with several areas marked namely...
-my main base
-my mine
-my quarry
- my tree farm
- my summer home
-everything else
and a radio that when i turned it on....

Notch said he would implement throwing eggs, im torn, I have a farm of animals 16 pigs are in there to prevent oter mobs from spawning. Should i kill them for eggs or not... Oh nope, a chicken found my secret pressure plate, opened my vault doors with em (howd he spawn anyways...) And a creeper popped out exploding me and my chest full fo gravel (always put the worse in front.) I respawne din my base adn within a mintue i had the chicken in a small glass box, only 1 space for him. I than enclosed the box in a small room so he cant see me sharpen my new diamond sword, waiting to maek him into a dinner. (They really need to add chicken 'the food')
