I'm trying to make a set of fantasy themed settlements with theirs own uniqueness with occasional 'useful' structures. Here is what I have come up so far:
Images:
Dragon temple and the settlements. Need more homes around the dragon temple. There will be folklore about the region. Schematic here.
At last I got construction of my dwarven chasm fortress going :3 .. I do this the explosive way: I lay down a lot of explosives on a crater, then shot them with explosive arrow. After that I clean a bit with explosive arrows and make the fortress based on the chasm cliffs and such.
Dark Elves Spires. Every medium towers have its own function, like a public dinning rooms, dormitory, library, and armory. The center biggest tower is the castle, I can't figure out what to put there.
The tree threes of all trees, home of the elves. They are interconnected to each others with wooden bridges. The trees mostly organic (wait a loooot of time for saplings to grow) and I hasn't add any buildings / furnitures beside two bridges and a couple of wooden planks to avoid falling from the stairs. Schematic here.
First I make a tower from wood blocks. After desired height, I use dirts to expand to every directions of the tower and put a sapling and a torch to the desired dirt block. I remove the remaining dirts. Then I wait all of them grow (or to be exact, I left my computer on while sleeping, because three saplings seems to refuse to grow for many nights-- even that I remove and replant them).
Just now after they all grow, I add the inner stairs to the top of the leaves. I try to find nice spots to hide dirts between leaves, add sapling, add torch. Rinse and repeat I'm sure I can get nice tree to the clouds.
looks good!
do you also remove the dirts a tree grows on after its fully grown? or only the dirts where no tree is on.
and do you use ladders as stairs, if yes can ladders be added to leafblocks? (i'm very intrested in trees on MC you know :tongue.gif:)

Edit: imma make a logo for this man! i hope you add it on the top of the page :wink.gif:
Only the dirts where no tree is on, until they grow. if the dirts are covered by leaves, I will just left them.
hasn't try adding ladders to leafblocks but you can put torches on them.
Not using mcedit for these trees anyway though when they are finished, I would convert them to downloadable schematic.
MrChicken : I just rid the X framing on doku's set. :wink.gif:
Bonus: sketch of dwarven fortress while waiting the trees grow. I think I will use it as minecarts station and deep mines. Will be a big problem to create this fortress though...
I updated the first post with three trees of all trees screenshots and schematic, also a WIP of dwarven chasm.
@aidos : seen a world with it, honestly I don't like it since the height limit.
@karob: My save file currently is 40mb big because I explore a lot of it (the map I provide is cropped) :sad.gif: mcdeleter seems doesn't reduce the file size after I delete the extra chunks.

So far I have:
